The subject dressed in finery with a pearl coronet, high ruffled lace collar and elaborate dress trimmed with strings of pearls, 93 ins x 54 ins (236 cms X 137 cms), in a moulded black frame 99 ins x 60 ins (252 cm x 253 cms).

The End of The Sinn Fein Rebellion - Pearse's Surrender Iconic Photograph: Pearse (P.H.) Rare photograph of Patrick H. Pearse's Surrendering to Brig. Gen. W.H.H. Lowe, on the 28th day of April 1916. The photograph measures approx. 12.5cms x 9.5cms (5" x 3 3/4"). This iconic photograph shows Pearse appearing to stand alone in front of Lowe his fellow officer, (hidden) but the bottom of the dress and the high heels worn by Nurse O'Farrell, Pearse's companion on this occasion are clearly visible. Small chip to the base of dress at hem bottom left. UV light shows no other damage. Does not appear to be crazed. Two screws hold the figure to wooden base.
