A large and impressive pair of Chelsea masqueraders, modelled as a lady and gentleman in Turkish dress. He wears a puce turban, yellow cloak and floral pink jacket, she with an ermine lined cloak, green headdress and a gold and iron-red dress, each raised on a gilded scrolling base applied with flowers, gold anchor marks, c.1760, 32. 5cm. (2) Minor restorations.
AN IMPORTANT 19TH CENTURY NANTGARW CABINET PLATE "THE THREE GRACES", finely painted in the centre with three young ladies in Regency dress and holding hands in a continuous group. The border gilded with swags and pendants in raised gold and issuing from a dentil rim. Impressed NANTGARW CW, diameter 9.25ins, together with an early 20th century Christmas card depicting the plate published by Mr & Mrs F.E. Andrews of Cardiff entitled "The Three Graces from a painting on Nantgarw porcelain by Thomas Baxter".
