Pedigree rare Little Princess hard plastic doll, 1953, unusual dark brown wig, weighted blue eyes, open mouth, fully jointed, bent knee, re-dressed in knitted outfit together with Little Lady Party Frock Creation pattern, Good Plus, 14"/36cm. N.B. This doll was presumably made to resemble Princess Ann. Introduced in Coronation Year, normally with pale blond curly hair, her original dress was designed by Norman Hartnell (designer to the Queen).

* Mitchell (R.J.). A group of original professional photographic portrait studies, 1920s-1930s, including a profile portrait of RJ by Chandler of Southampton and a three-quarter length by Vandyk, London (signed by the photographer) showing RJ in formal dress on the occasion of his receiving the Order of the British Empire, in 1932, plus others various, together with later copies for promotional and publishing purposes, and with sundry related ephemera etc., largest 15 x 10in (38 x 26cm) (approx. 30)
* Delmar-Williamson (George Frank, 1899-1918). A small group of photos and artefacts, c. 1916-18, including a mounted photograph of Delmar-Williamson in military dress, with a cane, RFC wings and enamalled lapel badge surmounted above, and a small contemporary obituary pasted at foot, his birth and death dates noted in manuscript at foot of photograph, overall 28 x 20cm, together with a real photograph postcard of him as a college cadet in Cheltenham, signed in lower blank area, some spotting and soiling, sellotape marks to verso, plus a group of three postcard-size photos of his funeral mounted on a piece of card, some sl. creasing and a few closed tears, plus a further album leaf with obituaries and newscuttings including reproductions of the three photos noted, plus two further related photos, a few minor marks. Lieutenant G. F. Delmar-Williamson of the Blackwatch and RAF was killed on July 12th 1918 whilst flying over Wiltshire with a fellow Cheltonian Officer, Captain Gabell, RAF. The accident was caused by the new aeroplane collapsing while being tested. Both officers were skilled aviators, having seen considerable service over the Western Front. Lieutenant Delmar-Williamson was buried at Leckhampton on 17th July, Captain Gabell having been buried the previous day at Swindon. (3)
* RFC WWI. An officer’s ceremonial dress sword by J.R. Gaunt & Son (late Edward Thurkle) London & B/ham, c. 1916, having nickel-steel blade with etched relief design incorporating Royal Standard armorial, makers name, owners name inscribed initial for W.R. Bond, and with nickel-plated basket-hilt of pierced format with further Royal armorial monogram “GVR” with crown surmounting and with applied silver-plated “RFC” badge to front, the hilt-handle of shagreen with bullion wire-twist decoration and machine-engraved cross-hatching to nickel-plated pommel, complete with original hard-leather and nickel-plated scabbard, length 39in (99cm) (1)
* Naval Dress Hat. A Naval Officer’s Dress Hat by Walcott & Sons, Devonport c. 1890-1910, by Royal Appointment Naval Outfitters, makers of this bicorn of brushed black velvet over composition shell, having decorative gold-wire braiding to each end and to side decoration over black cockade, contained in black-japanned toleware shaped metal carrying-case with applied embossed relief brass plate inscribed “W.E. Wheele - RN” and with further applied relief stamped zinc maker’s label inscribed M.H. Whitman, Lion Terrace, Portsea (1)
* RAF WWII and later Group of Uniform clothing. An RAF and Volunteer Reserve serving-Pilot’s complete Uniform wardrobe, c. 1940s/1950s, comprising winter, summer, evening and formal-wear dress, outer-garments, shirts etc, including many items, also with original WWII buttons, shoulder tabs, medal ribbon decorations and other accoutrements etc., which had been up-graded upon accession of Queen Elizabeth II to the throne in 1953. Formerly the property of a Flying-officer during the war, later promoted to Flt. Lieut and served with RAFVR during 1950s. The uniforms upgraded with Queen’s Badge insignia and buttons as appropriate. (-)

A collection of military mementos and souvenirs, formerly the property of the late Lt-Colonel Frederick Charles Cook and related family members, c. 1914-1960s, including WWII boxed medal group to Corporal A.E. Banks (related by marriage) including 39-45 Star, Africa Star, France & Germany Star and War Medal, and framed Memorial Commemorative Scroll tribute to a life lost in Service of his Country, together with WWII boxed medals group to S.Cook including 39-45 Star, Burma Star, War & Defence Medals, and with related Certificate of Merit to Lt-Col Frederick Cook 33 years Valuable & Meritorious Service in Royal Engineers, a pre-war bullion-embroidered blazed patch with Geo. V crown emblem (unused), a Royal Engineers polychromed metal badge wall-plaque, sundry RE uniform buttons, presentation tankards, signed embroidered silk scarf and gifts including an inscribed brass pill/snuff box, a twin bar group of mounted medal ribbons including WWI Service etc., further with a group of photographs taken at Hospital in Poona and other related service and staff personnel photographs relating to service in India, Burma and the Far-East, including Japanese Officers” sword in scabbard (war-trophy souvenir?), another ceremonial ornamental sword, and a group of framed military prints of Indian Militia Dress Uniforms, 1820s-1920s, and two original artist drawn caricatures of the subject Col. Fred. Cooke. Signing up to Military Service with the Royal Engineers during the inter-war years and serving most of his time in India and the Far-east, when as acting-Captain Frederick Cook was shot & wounded ed in action and hospitalised during 1942 with a bullet lodged in his spine. Following an X-ray, this was considered too difficult to remove, and he was subsequently discharged back into service, continuing until he left the Military in 1961, and enjoyed further long and active life in retirement. The bullet was never removed even after further X-rays were taken in 1962. The original 1942 and 1962 X-rays are included in this lot. (-)
