The paper shows a full height near vertical crease to the central area running up through the hand of the child with the stick and through the female figure standing behind. The crease line shows several small scuffs, most noticeable on the female figure's dress. There are further small scuffs visible on the face of the donkey and on the trunk and foliage of the tree. The paper surface shows a ripple and slight puckering across the sheet. The lower margin shows some wear and staining. The frame is structurally sound, but shows wear to the gilt and wood finishes.

The glass shows two small but visible scratches in the centre, with further fine surface wear throughout. The ebonised frame shows extensive surface scratching, surface wear, and areas of white residue. It also appears to have lost its hanging ring.
An Edwardian ivory cotton peignoir or boudoir jacket, copiously trimmed with valenciennes lace, with three Victorian cotton Cambric night shirts, with broderie anglaise and tucked detail to fronts and collars, together with an Edwardian night dress with white work and valenciennes detail, and a Cambric broderie anglaise trimmed full length apron, and a crochet trimmed cotton apron (7) CONDITION REPORT:The peignoir shows age-related darkening to the fabric, and the odd small stain, but no obvious holes or tears. The other pieces show similar wear and staining. One of the night dresses shows tears and losses to the lower edge. The full length apron has a red ribbon cross tacked to the front.

Condition will be best illustrated via images.The dress shows wear commensurate with age and use, including wear to corner points and velvet trim. The back left side shows moth damage to an area approximately 1cm square, with a further pinhole to the back right side. Several of the dress pleats also cover moth damage, the largest area approximately 2cm square. The pocket bag appears to be complete and intact. The dress fabric shows age related darkening and ingrained dirt throughout.
