WWII – Hitler group of three original photographs showing Adolf Hitler attending the `Deutscher Tag` [ie German national day] in Nuremberg in 1919. In the first Hitler is seen half length in a gabardine mackintosh his shoulders sloping but with his familiar moustache and hairstyle looking seriously to his front. A figure standing next to him has been identified as Ludendorf the defeated German General of WWI. In the second he is seen three quarter length showing that he is carrying a trilby hat surrounded by a group of people some in military dress uniform. Hitler is looking seriously to his left and into the distance. A figure standing next to him is identified as the notorious anti-Semitic Nazi Julius Streicher (who went on to publish the magazine `Sturmer` during the third Reich period). In the third picture Hitler is seen three quarter length in a group of military and police officers all in dress uniform. Original images of Hitler from this period are of the greatest rarity. His somewhat poor clothing gives testament to his fortunes in the immediate aftermath of WWI. It is also interesting to note that from these pictures Hitler had stooped shoulders – a factor corrected by judicial padding under the directions of the Nazi propaganda machine in later life !

A first quarter of the 20th Century 9ct Gold Ladies Dress Watch, Rolex, retailed by Harris of Spalding, the movement with Geneva stripe decoration and mono-metallic balance, to a signed and engine-turned gilt dial with outside minute track and blued steel square section hands, in a polished cased with hinged face and back, and fitted with its original Rolex sprung link bracelet, the case with import marks for London 1921 and further signed Rolex, with Maker’s Mark W&D and numbered 13646, width 1 1/8”
