AN ART DECO PURPLE CHIFFON AND BEADED FLAPPER DRESS20th Century The dress elaborately decorated in Art Deco motifs in silver and purple beads, with scoop neckline and cropped waist, 104cm longProvenance: The Purple Shop – The Anthony Gardner Collection. See Bellmans website article for further information: https://www.bellmans.co.uk/story/the-purple-shop-the-anthony-gardner-collectionCondition report: There are several areas of discolouration including to the right side around the arm area at the front, with a loose element of bead work; on the left side at the back; and in areas to the lower area of the skirt which are difficult to illustrate. General wear and small losses, scuffs to the beads, general wear to the materials, as to be expected with use and age. The maximum measurement at the bust is 43.5cm across.
