Follower of Sir Peter LelyPortrait of a lady, three-quarter length, in a red dress and green wrapoil on canvas106 x 83cm, unframedCondition report: The painting is executed in oil on a linen canvas support which has been lined. The canvas us in a poor condition. Old tears have been secured through the lining, but new damages and holes have occurred due to impact. The canvas has been affected by water damage at the top edge and mould has started to form in this area. There are scattered losses to the paint layer across the surface, associated with tears and damages. There is a large area of loss to the sitter’s forehead. Areas of overpaint are present, in the background this has darkened over time. The varnish is degraded and has become very yellowed with age. The brittleness of the ages varnish has led to scuffs and scrapes across the surface

English School, c.1730Portrait of a lady, possibly a member of the Attlesea family, half length, in a red dress and green capeindistinctly inscribed on torn label verso, oil on canvas, painted oval76 x 63cm, unframedCondition report: The painting is executed in oil on a linen canvas support which has been lined. The lining canvas is old and brittle with tears forming around the tacking edges. There is a hole above the sitter’s head and a tear to the right hand side. The paint layer is stable overall. The portrait has an old, degraded varnish which appears to have been partially cleaned but leaving dark residues in the paint texture, leading to a mottled surface
Franz Seraph von Lenbach (German, 1836-1904)Portrait of a seated child in Van Dyck dresssigned and dated 'F Lenbach 1901' l.r., oil on board97 x 71.5cm, within an elaborate gilt and ebonised Spanish-style frameCondition report: The work is glazed and there is dirt trapped beneath the glass. The painting is executed on a large piece of board with thin washes of oil and some areas of high impasto. The board is held in the frame with nails on all four sides and is not properly supported. As a result the board has warped and the upper edge bows forward and touches the glass in areas. The paint layers appear to be in a good condition overall. Losses to the varnish, and potentially the paint layer, have occurred where the painting touches the glass. There appears to be a localised area of overpaint around the sitter’s head
