B Bennet-Alday a young woman, in a pearl necklace and turquoise dress, signed and dated 1935 on the backing to the support, ivory, oval, 9. 5 x 7cm, giltmetal frame in morocco covered triptych . In excellent condition, the ivory undamage and with no sign of warping, the colours very well preserved having been kept in an enclosed triptych case, the leather covering to the exterior of the case scuffed and torn in one place with small loss.
ENGLISH NAìVE ARTIST, c1840. Portrait of a Lady in a Black Dress, seated half length, holding a flower, 75 x 62cm . Two holes and a tear, general craqueleur, rather pronounced in places, especially the lower left corner on the reverse, the canvas has not been relined but several unsuccessful attempts have been made to patch the holes and tear, in what could be the original giltwood and composition Elizabethan style frame with numerous losses

A Charles Vyse pottery figure of The Lavender Girl, the dark haired young Romany wearing a green slide in her hair and vivid fringed yellow shawl over her billowing, flowered dress and purple edged apron, offering a bunch of lavender in her extended right arm, on faceted base, 22cm h, affixed contemporary paper label and price ticket, c1922. Insignificant flat chip on the plinth at the back, faint short (1cm) vertical hairline crack in the plinth to one side, no restoration (See lot 71 for illustration).
A Charles Vyse pottery figure of The Balloon Woman, the young Romany with rosy cheeks and green earrings, a pink scarf around her neck, dressed in a purple shawl and colourful striped full length dress with a yellow edged apron, holding an armful of brightly coloured balloons, on faceted base, 22cm h, painted monogram CHELSEA and dated 1922 . In fine condition with no damage or restoration; some marginal oxidisation of the purple enamel on the shawl nearest to the balloons mainly at the back but this is more likely to be a small production flaw and in any event is hardly noticeable and does not detract from the appearance. (See lot 67 for illustration).
A Charles Vyse pottery figure of The Tulip Woman, her little child carried in a purple blanket tied over her shoulder and wearing a plumed black hat, loose mauve shirt and vivid fringed green shawl over a spot-flowered dress, a large basket of brightly coloured flowers over her right arm, on circular base, 26cm h, painted monogram CHELSEA and dated 1922 . One or two of the tulips slightly grazed but this is very limited in extent and the figure is in unusually fine condition. No restoration
A Lenci earthenware figure of Angelita alla corrida modelled by Helen Konig Scavini, in orange polka dot flamenco gown, 36cm h, painted mark, title, date XI-XIII and painter's mark, c1935. Two or three very minor glaze flakes rather than chips from one or two of the frills of the dress which are hardly noticeable and do not detract, no other damage nor is there any restoration
A Staffordshire figure of a female dancer, in green head-dress, cobalt costume and pink skirt with yellow bloomers, on gilt base, 26. 5cm h, c1850 . Flat chip to the side of the base, one or two insignificant hairline cracks and localised crazing which does not detract. A small graze rather than a chip as such to the pointed tip of the figure's head-dress. The gilding on the base slightly rubbed. No restoration.
A pair of Derby candlestick figures, of a seated bagpiper and a lady with a lute, attended by a hound or lamb respectively the piper in a puce jerkin, turquoise waistcoat and lavender breeches, his companion in a plumed head-dress, puce and gilt bodice and flowered skirt, both seated before a heavily flowered boage on puce edged gilt shell and scrolling open-work base, 24cm h, William Duesbury & Co, patch marks, c1780. Some old restoration, in particular to both sconces and with some typical losses to the bocage on the figure of the lady. The back scroll to the base has been re-built but both in otherwise overall good condition. Such restoration as there is, is old and discoloured; no "professional' restoration
A pair of Bow figures of children with baskets, the boy wearing a long puce cap and floretted open coat with blue apron, his companion with flowers in her mop cap and a flowered green dress with purple shoes, both standing before a forked floral bocage on a puce and gilt scrolling mound, 12. 5cm h, c1765. Typical minor losses, the boy's head cleanly broken off and amateurishly glued back into position but no serious losses and no "restoration' (See lot 216 for illustration).
