A pair of 19th Century French tin glazed earthenware figures of men in 18th Century dress riding horses in the Dutch Delft style of Paolus Van Der Bergh or Jacobus Andraenz Halder, 26.5 cm high CONDITION REPORTS One of the figure groups has restoration to horse's ears, the extent of loss or damage beneath the restoration over-painting is not known, also restoration and over-painting to three of the horse's legs, to the rider's head, to reins, tail and throughout - again extent of restoration beneath the over-painting is not visible. Other figure group : horse has one ear broken off and glue and various chips, large area of chips/rim missing to underside of base which is slighlty visible around the edge of the base, reins appear slightly duller so possibly some restoration. Various firing blemishes to both figure groups.
A William IV Andrews of Pall Mall curved dress sword with brass scabbard, bone handle and brass hilt, the blade marked "Andrews No.9 Pall Mall London" bearing George IV motif & Brigadier-General baton & cross sword 91 cm long ( Provenance : Lt Col Lord Charles John Innes-Ker ) CONDITION REPORTS Scabbard approx. 77 cm long, has some wear and "dings" and dents, grip has some small splits and some chips and splits and some cracks and areas of loss, there appears to be a loop and/or fitments missing to the scroll end of the grip (please see photos), blade has some wear and scuffs and a little tarnish, length of blade approx. 77 cm, blade appears to fit quite smoothly into scabbard. Please note that this is William IV (not George IV).
