An early 20th century silver mounted oak easel-back 'Valkyrie' photograph frame. The shaped mount depicting a Valkyrie in full battle dress standing on the left side of the aperture, 'Valkyrie' above, a bow and other weapons to the right and a Viking long ship beneath, Rd. No. 441066, mark of Colen Hewer Cheshire, Chester probably 1904, 23.5cm high overall, 18.5cm wide (9 1/4 x 7 1/4 inches) Condition Report: Overall good condition for age. THe high spots a worn through cleaning over the years but not holed anywhere.No major dents or dings but many small areas that show slight dings especially on the outer border near the Valkyrie's right leg. Also a dent at the bottom left corner as the frame is viewed. These generally do not detract from the overall look.
