Starting as a small pastime, his work became sought after and perhaps his best know commission was that for Lloyd's of a fullsize Britannia figurehead that was presented by Lloyd's to Cunard for the maiden voyage of the Queen Elizabeth II. The figurehead remains in the Cunard collection.
