Four gents dress watches by MVMT, 3 NYC, Lige and Dom Original, modern, quartz movements, the MVMT watch with chronograph function, three in the original boxes with papers, the Dom Original watch with vintage demi-lune dial, unboxed and without the strap. (4). All in excellent condition - have not been worn. The Dom Original does not have the box or strap, but is in excellent condition.
A ladies Michel Herbelin gold plated dress watch, ref. 7065.B, c.2001, the mother-of-pearl dial with gilt dot cardinal markers and gilt sword hands, the 21mm. circular case with CZ set bezel and lugs, with original dumbbell link bracelet, in the original box with papers and spare links.. In excellent condition, with virtually no evidence that it has been worn - just very light handling scratches. In running condition. Hands adjust correctly. Box very good
Two vintage Japanese kimonos, one in coral red with white cherry blossom and fan decoration, the other with landscape pattern fabric with pagodas, in shades of purple, brown and white; together with a 1960s-70s Japanese black velvet sleeveless mini dress with gold and white trim; and a yellow obi. A painted papier-mache, faux-granite figure of Nandi, the Hindu sacred cow, probably 20th century, the recumbent cow in elaborate ceremonial dress, with decorative saddlecloth, strings of bells and head ornament, on a stepped plinth with floral and lappet borders, 13in. (33cm.) high. Small chip to one upper corner of plinth and another larger to one lower corner. Otherwise good.

A Royal Engineers Volunteers Officers Home Service Helmet, early 20th century, dark blue cloth body cork helmet with volunteer pattern officers home service helmet plate, having central scroll blanked, silvered rosette side bosses, cruciform spike base with rosettes and officers fluted spike, leather sweatband and crimson cloth lining to interior, housed in original tin hat box, together with a leather binoculars pouch, pair of white dress gloves and a portapee.* Provenance: Helmet belonging to A.W. Bowerbank, Engineers, later joining C & A Parsons, developed steam turbines for Cunard, then worked on National grid of Canada and later Battersea Power Station. Light wear, missing chin strap, tin with rust, overall good.

English School (19th century), A portrait of a lady in a white dress, holding a pink rose, three quarter length. oval pastel, original gilt frame with losses. 18 x 13in. (45.75 x 33cm.). * Some mould spotting to surface. Probable old restoration around left side of face. Losses to frame and cresting damaged.
after George Morland (British, 19th century), Children feeding goats. oil on canvas, unsigned, gilt foliate hollow frame. 10¾ x 13½in. (27.3 x 34.3cm.). Original Roberson & Miller canvas - not lined. Some scattered retouches and minor strengthening visible under UV. Two small chips to paint, one to dress of female standing figure, where the craquelure is a little more pronounced. Light surface dirt. Framed later gold painted and with some old losses. Parcel tape used at back of frame.
Circle of Henry Pickering (British, fl.1740-1771), Portrait of a Woman in a Blue Dress. oil on canvas. Frame with plaque with erroneous inscription “Anne of Cleves by Holbein” and inscription on label on reverse “Anne of Cleves wife of Henry 8th painted about 1615 having been in the Knollys family for 300 years was purchase from Lord Knollys at Blounts Court Henly by Rt Hon Sir Wm Byrne P.C., KCVO and was sold by him in 1925 to the Duc de Pleneuf in Jersey”, English, early 19th century, gilded frame. 20¾ x 16¼in. (52.7 x 41.3cm.). Unlined. Original stretcher. 3 ¼ in. hole in the canvas to the left of head. Patched, filled and restored puncture in the canvas in the dress lower centre. Surface dirt over discoloured varnish.
English School 18th century, portrait of a continental lady in late 16th century dress, half length with ruff and jewels to her hair, oil on canvas. 81 x 65 cm. Provenance: Langdale Chase Hotel. CONDITION REPORT: This oil portrait is framed in an early 20th century oak frame with a gilt inset. This painting has been re-lined. There is significant blistering to the paint surface where the bitumen in the mix has become evident. There are small scratches and the occasional loss also to the paint surface together with one significant 2 cm long scratch to the bottom left of the canvas. The paint surface is stable with some areas of craquelure.
Follower of Peter Lely 1618-1680, portrait of a lady, three quarter length wearing a yellow dress with an extensive landscape beyond, oil on canvas. 127 cm x 103 cm. Provenance: Langdale Chase Hotel (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: This oil painting has an early 20th century stained oak frame with a gilt insert. The canvas has been re-lined. The canvas has lifted in many places. There are numerous small losses to the canvas throughout its surface, areas of repainting and much ingrained dirt through age. The canvas as a whole is not entirely attached to the stretcher. This portrait has been examined with a UV light, there are areas of re-painting throughout the canvas and paint surface which would amount to approximately 20% of the paint surface. The paint surface has also been flattened in areas due to restoration and there are a clear area of restoration to the centre of the sitter's chest. The canvas sits loosely within the frame, it has at some point been re-lined, but the canvas now no longer sits flat.
