Susan Herbert (1945-2014) - cat standing three-quarter length, wearing a blue dress edged with white lace, signed, watercolour and gouache, 13.5" x 10.25" *The artist is regarded as being one of Britain's most important contemporary cat painters and has had a great many successful exhibitions, particularly with the Chris Beetles gallery on Ryder Street, St James, London. There have been numerous books published concerning her career and her interesting subject matter * The picture is sold together with a book entitled 'The Cat's Gallery of Art' with a personal inscription to Robert A Perkins (who was a neighbour of the painter) at 72 Holloway, there are also numerous Christmas and birthday cards from the artist to 'Robert' who was an academic and longstanding friend, and also a poster 'Pre-Raphaelite Cats' by Thams & Hudson

CONDITION REPORT: Bears in mostly good condition with only minor surface wear and dirt, Russ example with some areas of loss to mohair.
Four German bisque headed dolls comprising two Armand Marseille baby dolls with sleeping glass eyes, moulded hair, open mouths showing teeth and jointed composition bodies, both with impressed marks to rear of neck, the longest 60cm (both af), also a similar example with impressed marks '201-7 Germany', length 60cm and a further smaller black Pomsons female example with open mouth showing no teeth, wearing a frilled satin nightdress, length 41cm (4). CONDITION REPORT: With Armand Marseille dolls with detached heads, the smaller with detached leg, the third in need of re-stringing, the fourth with damage to the left hand and extensive staining to dress, all with extensive wear, surface scratches and dirt throughout, in need to restoration.
A Simon and Halbig bisque headed doll with open and close eyes, open mouth revealing four teeth, blonde hair and articulated composite body in pink silk dress, length 57cm, and a further Victorian example (af) (2). CONDITION REPORT: The Simon and Halbig doll has got one finger missing to right hand, major crack all over right foot, with general wear and surface dirt throughout, the other doll is lacking eyes and the hair is detached, one hand is missing, surface dirt commensurate with age.
A 1970s pale blue chiffon silk sleeveless long dress with painted yolk with matching jacket with nine fabric buttons, size 12, also a 1970s Frank Usher single shoulder strap long dress with yellow floral pattern, a 1970s sequin dress with beaded decorative buttoned neckline bearing label for 'D.P.Designes Christina Stambolian and a quantity of ethnic jewellery in coloured bags comprising necklaces and bracelets, pendants, beads and plaques etc, by Rita Seres.
JOSEPH LORENZL FOR GOLDSCHEIDER; a c.1930s Austrian porcelain figure of dancer in red lace skirt and top, on oval base marked to underneath, impressed No. 7058/25/4, height 30.5cm. CONDITION REPORT: Generally in good condition with no obvious traces of damage or restoration, areas of crazing to the glaze, particularly throughout the legs and dress to both sides, two small areas of shallow chips/losses to glaze to the back lower edge of the skirt, the item was inspected under the UV light.
