ILLUSTRATED
A late 19c French figural mantel clock, the gilt spelter case having a decorated blue enamel dial and blue enamel flanking and base plaques decorated with cherubs. The clock is surmounted by the seated figure of an artist in 18c dress. The movement is rack striking on a bell and the clock sits on a shaped giltwood base which in turn sits on black oval base for the glass dome. The clock bears a presentation plaque for 1871 and stands 19.5" tall under the dome.
