Canvas unlined, painting restored approx. 30 years ago. Minor damage to frame.
A finely painted portrait miniature of a young lady holding a letter, the letter addressed 'Mrs Singleton', the lady with hair in ringlets and a high bun, wearing a white dress with plunging neckline and rouched sleeves, a blue striped shawl over her arm, adorned with various items of jewellery, 3 5/8 x 3in. (9.2 x 7.6cm.), in a dark red morocco leather case, cover detached., * Condition: Case cover detached. Case top faded and some rubs and scratches to leather. Miniature good, with very little fading. Tiny contact line rub to top centre.
Third Reich Police Dress Bayonet, two piece stag horn grips fitted with aluminium Police eagle to the centre. Housed in its original leather scabbard with plated mounts, top mount stamped “S.Ko I 585”. Polished blade with WKC helmeted knight trade mark to the base and the other side having the makers details written in full. Blade has very pronounced pointed tip, possibly reformed. Some scuffing to the leather scabbard and small dents.
18th County of London (London Irish Rifles) Officers Astrakhan Dress Busby, excellent example of an officers dress busby with black astrakhan wool body and green top, the top with black twist cord decoration, plaited dark green cords to the front, supported by blackened strung bugles to the side and a lion head boss to the reverse. Green cord boss with silver plated crowned harp badge, red and black cord plume socket and large two piece green and black brush plume. Interior retains the original leather sweatband and artificial silk lining, Herbert & Co, London, gold leaf tailors details to the interior. The lining has shredded in places. Original patent leather chinstrap still attached. Very fine example.

1949 Pattern Seaforth Highlanders 6th Infantry Brigade Officers Battle Dress Blouse, tartan formation sign with silk woven 6th Infantry brigade formation sign and single red backed rank pip to the shoulder boards. 1958 dated size label with tailors details of H Edgard & Sons Ltd. Couple of areas of moth damage but otherwise good condition.
Post 1902 Royal Artillery Territorial Force Captains Full Dress Uniform, fine example of the blue cloth dress tunic with red facings to the collar and central red stripe to the front. Heavy bullion knotted decoration to the cuffs, embroidered lace to the collar and bullion embroidered flaming grenades. Kings crown regimental brass buttons to the front and lower section of the reverse. Officers knotted bullion shoulder boards with three rank pips on each. Tunic is fitted with the original officers dress aiguillettes and officers cross belt with patent leather pouch having fine gilt metal Territorial Artillery badge to the centre. Accompanied by a pair of dress trousers with thick red central stripe.
1949 Pattern Royal Army Chaplains Department Northern Ireland District Battle Dress Blouse, embroidered white on purple shoulder titles with embroidered Northern Ireland district formation signs. Blackened rank pips to the shoulder boards. Medal ribbons above the breast pocket. Pressed leather square buttons. 1954 dated size label to the interior.
Royal Naval Captains Full Dress Cap, Epaulettes and Undress Sword Belt, the set is all housed in the original japanned metal storage tin with painted details of the original owner to the lid, “A.B. WEBB RN”. The cocked hat of beaver skin covered body with fine gilt bullion wire decoration and single gilt RN button, each end with bullion wire tassels. Interior of the cap is in mint condition, retaining the original white leather sweatband and silk lining with J Baker & Co, Portsmouth retailers details. Bullion officers dress epaulettes with single bullion kings crown (Anchors missing) and wire tassels. Mint condition leather backed officers undress sword belt with three rows of bullion wire decoration, gilt metal kings crown belt buckle which retains all of the original gilt wash finish and the two piece sword hangers. Lining to the inside of the transit box is in excellent condition as is the exterior of the tin, showing just very minor scrapes from storage. The set appears to have been hardly ever worn.

White twist lanyard and brass flaming grenade collar badges. Original 1945 dated H Edgard & Sons Ltd size label. One small moth area to one of the lower pockets.
Victorian Lord Lieutenant of London Dress Epaulettes, finely embroidered silver bullion wire oak leaves and acorns, heavy bullion Victorian crown and VR cipher, silver (not hallmarked) crescent moons to the end and bullion wire tassels to the ends. Leather covering to the underneath of one of the boards, other is missing. Some wear to the bullion wire but generally good condition.

One arm has four red service chevrons. Breast pocket medal ribbons for 1939-45 Defence medal and Canadian Overseas Service medal. Workman Uniform Co Ltd ink stamp to the interior with size information and 1945 date.
Yeomanry Officers Mess Uniform, being short shell jacket type of blue cloth with red facings, gold bullion embroidered lace to the front and bordering the cuffs. Small gilt buttons and hooks to the front. Red quilted lining to the interior with tailors label to inside pocket with inked name label. Accompanied by the matching mess dress waistcoat. Attached to the tunic is OHMS paper label with stamped details of the Inspectorate of Clothing and inked dates from late 1950’s and 1960’s, tunic is however earlier than this. Both remain in generally good condition, couple of minor stitching faults to the lace. (2 items)

Control Commission Germany Civilian Military Government Officer Battle Dress Blouse, being a 1940 pattern blouse with embroidered yellow on green shoulder titles stitched to shoulder boards and embroidered Control Commission Germany formation sign. Interior of the BD has the original 1944 David Miller & Co Ltd label with ink stamp FEB 1946. Some moth damage to the breast pockets.
Pair of 1949 Pattern Battle Dress Blouses Belonging to a Royal Army Medical Officer with the Royal Highlanders (Black Watch), interesting pair as one has formation signs for Berlin occupation and the other has formation sign for Scottish command. Both battle dress have the Tartan formation sign badge of the Royal Highlanders and RAMC embroidered titles, maroon backed rank pips. Both battle dress remain in good condition. The battle dress belonged to Captain R L Grant, a National Service officer who served as the Medical Officer to the 1st Battalion The Black Watch at the time the regiment moved from Berlin to Edinburgh in December 1957.

All mounted onto khaki backing.

Polished exterior fittings with the copper base metal showing through on the lower grip band. Housed in its original scabbard with hanging rings. Blade with WKC makers trade mark to the base. Blade shows some staining. Original standard quality officers velvet backed hanging straps with metal buckles and top clip. Good example overall.

Velvet three part scroll is worn. Gilt metal artillery field piece to the lower section. Leather backed and with two of the hanging rings. Ideal for display.

11th Royal Tank Regiment (RTR) Officers Battle Dress, fine 1940 pattern battle dress blouse with white and black shoulder flashes for the 11th battalion Royal Tank Regiment and yellow backed rank pips. Both arms have woven BAOR training centre formation signs and RAC arm of service stripes. One arm has embroidered tank. 1943 dated Hartley Sons & Co Ltd size label to the interior. Battle dress has been officer tailored with open collar. A couple of small moth holes to the back but generally a good example. 11th RTR served with the 33rd Armoured Brigade as part of the 79th Armoured division.
Luftwaffe 1st Pattern Dress Dagger, being an aluminium fittings example, complete with its original blue leather covered scabbard fitted with hanging chains. Gilt finish to the swastikas in the pommel and cross guard remains intact. Fine double edged blade with Tiger Solingen makers trade mark to the base. Some light scuffing to the leather on the scabbard and grip but otherwise a very good example.

Eagle and swastika pommel top. Complete with its original deluxe pattern hammered scabbard with two hanging rings. Blade with standard etching and WKC trade mark to the base. Some surface pitting to the blade. Dagger is complete with its correct large and small type blue velvet backed hanging straps with gilt metal double lion head buckles and gilt metal clips. Some wear to the straps but overall a good example.

1871 Pattern Montgomeryshire Yeomanry Cavalry Dress Helmet, white metal shell with multi piece large starburst badge having regimental details within garter strap and Welsh Dragon to the centre. Rose pattern side bosses supporting leather backed linked chinstrap. Cross base and spike fitting supporting a black horse hair plume. Interior of the helmet has officers quality quilted lining and leather coverings to the front and back peaks. Some repairs to the shell and top rose fitting for the plume is absent.
1912 Dated Other Ranks Rifles Dress Busby, black fur body with dark green top section, plaited front cords. To the front of the busby is a cord boss with blackened crowned strung bugle. White and green two part brush plume to the front. Interior has the original leather sweatband, 1912 dated Hobson & Sons label and another label with inked details “No 236 Rfn J Caol D Compy”. Busby remains in very good condition.
1949 Pattern War Office Majors Battle Dress Blouse, with bullion embroidered formation signs to the arm and cloth rank crowns to the shoulder boards. To the breast are medal ribbons for the MBE and service during WW2 and Korea. Size 6 label to the inside with 1953 date, made by L Harris (Harella) Ltd.
1949 Pattern 115th Engineer Regiment Royal Engineers Officers Battle Dress, embroidered shoulder title above embroidered 115th Construction Regiment (embroidered 13 on red square) and embroidered 115th Engineer regiment formation sign. To the other arm is embroidered 26th Engineers group formation sign. Three blue backed rank pips to the shoulder board and blue twist cord lanyard. Original label to the inside but this has worn. An interesting post war battle dress with scarce formation signs originally attached.
