Russian late nineteenth to early twentieth century ornamental silver gilt mug. The body decorated in high relief with three framed figures in traditional dress, raised above a circular footed base with gadrooned detail and scrolling shaped handle. Height including handle 4 1/2 inches (12cm), weight 9.56ozt (297.3gms). Hallmarked to the base, the hallmark is most probably for Moscow 1899-1908 and the assayer I Sorokina 1899-1900 (Postnikova-Loseva 3879), however also marked with a workman's head and hammer facing to the right with 875, possibly relating to later in the twentieth century and a further mark which reads MOS-P. The mug is in very good condition. There are some blemishes and patches of discolouration to the whole, but nothing serious. The gilding on the inside of the mug is in very good condition, but on the outside it is a little worn. The decoration is all in excellent condition but the tops of the frames are a little bent. The hallmarks are all clear and legible.
Czech and filigree costume jewellery to include a white paste buckle stamped 'Czech', a hexagonal floral brooch stamped 'Czechoslov', a bow design filigree and multi coloured paste brooch stamped 'Czechoslov', dress clips, large and small brooches, necklets and other items. Approximately twenty five items (some AF).
A small collection of costume jewellery to include a set of six silver Edwardian dress studs depicting the side profile of a classical lady (hallmarked Birmingham 1905), a pair of Christmas tree design dropper earrings, an oval shell cameo brooch, an ornate design enamelled egg pendant and various other items. (Approximately twenty one items-some items AF). The items are in good/fair condition. All of the dress studs are quite seriously tarnished and blackened, all of the hallmarks are nice and clear. There is damage to many of the enamel pieces and general wear to metal and silver work. Some of the items may be in need of repair. The enamelled egg is in generally good condition, with just minor damage to the enamel.
A collection of silver, white metal and marcasite jewellery to include a silver and moss agate ring, a silver and marcasite knot design ring, a silver and marcasite seahorse brooch, dress clip brooches, necklets, earrings, flower and animal brooches (some AF and some single earrings). Approximately thirty items.
* Three dress rings to include a 9ct gold pear shape amethyst and diamond cluster, a 9ct bi-colour gold ruby and diamond set cross over, and a 9ct gold single stone round brilliant diamond set ring with diamond point set shoulders, also two coral pendants, a cabochon malachite pendant, two St Christophers, a back and front locket and chain. All three rings are in generally good condition, there are minor scratches to the goldwork however nothing serious. All of the stones are present. The diamonds in the amethyst cluster ring are generally dull.
A small quantity of dress studs, to include three matching cabochon chrysoberyl set dress studs with crescent design backs, three matching imitation pearl set studs and and four matching 18ct gold mother of pearl set octagonal shape buttons. The lot is in a reasonable/fair condition, the one imitation pearl has worn off a lot of the coating, there is tarnishing to all the items and all have some minor scratches and dents from general wear and tear.
Nine dress rings, to include an oval cats eye quartz ring, a three stone amethyst and paste ring, a sapphire and paste cluster ring, a garnet ring, four other gem set rings, a vacant ring shank and two pairs of earrings. Total weight-28.33 grams. The lot is in a fair condition, two of the rings have solder joins to the back of the shanks, all of the stones have some abrasion to them, there is damage to the tigers eye earrings, all the items have minor scratches and dents from general wear and tear.
A small quantity of items, to include three matching 15ct gold dress studs (hallmarked London 1920), three other 18ct gold matching dress studs with floral engraved decoration, a 9ct rose gold signet ring, a 9ct gold blue and colourless paste cluster ring, a 9ct gold blue enamelled swastika pendant, seven other rings an 18ct gold signet ring and two other items. The bangle is not part of this lot and is actually part of lot 589, it was accidentally taken in this image.
