A VICTORIAN MAHOGANY ARCHED DIAL LONGCASE CLOCK by S J Bibby, Carnarvon, the well painted dial set with Roman numerals and Arabic subsidiary seconds and date dials, moon painted arched top with flanking globe decoration, the spandrels with various depiction of ladies in period dress, the winding apertures before a twin weight pendulum driven movement, striking on a bell (pendulum and weights included), the case hood with broken swan neck pediment, glazed door and half cut pillar decoration with turned flanking edge pillars, the shaped top trunk door with turned and reeded pillars, the stepped trunk base having twins shaped panels and decorative canted sides, the corner bracket plinth with decorative apron, 205 cms high, 74 cms wide

Five Bow figures c.1760-65, a matched pair of candlestick figures of Summer and Autumn, modelled as a lady with a sheaf of corn and a gentleman with grapes, standing beneath a sconce applied with flowers, a figure of Columbine holding a slapstick, one of a huntsman with a dog, the last of a lady in a yellow dress, damages, losses and restoration, 25.5cm max. Three Royal Doulton figures 20th century, the earliest of William Sydney Penley in his role as 'Babbs' in Charley's Aunt, wearing a white shawl over a black dress and raised on a titled octagonal base, one of Uriah Heap standing beside a stack of books, the last of Sairey Gamp, holding an umbrella and red spotted handkerchief, printed marks, 19.5cm max. (3) Provenance: from a private collection. The figure of W S Penley purchased from The Collector, Marylebone in 1995. W S Penley's starring role in Charley's Aunt began at London's Royalty Theatre in 1892, transferring to The Globe (now the Gielgud) the following year and achieving a record-breaking run of 1,466 performances. The first figure was made especially for the playwright, Brandon Thomas, but entered general production at Doulton in 1914.

Ladies' Victorian / Edwardian clothing - including cream silk gauze full-length nighties and matching negligee, cotton and lace nighties with ribbon trim, similar chemise and petticoats, etc (qty) CONDITION REPORT Both of the cotton and lace tops have rips along lace panels and one has some small holes on front. The petticoat skirts have some staining all over. White cotton and lace top has small hole in lace near left underarm. Long sheer nightie has holes along front lace seam and other damage over the dress, thread pulls etc, overall this lot would benefit from a clean otherwise good
Late 1930s / early 1940s wedding dress with integral train in cream satin with shaped and gathered bodice, plus 1930s black satin long silk dress with puffy short sleeves and button trim (2) CONDITION REPORT Wedding dress- Small piece of stitching undone (approx 2cm long) on the inner seem of both sleeves. Right sleeve has some dots of staining above the button detailing. Neck line is slightly dirty with some very small stitching holes visible. There is some staining on the front lower skirt and the hem is dirty. Fabric has frayed above and below side zip fastening. Black satin dress- One button missing from front. Small tear/hole on right collar and small pluck on left collar. Stitching coming away on seem of right sleeve near the under arm.

Victorian 52nd Light Infantry (Oxfordshire) Regiment of Foot, court dress sword with crown pommel and ribbed hilt, together with an Indian Tulwar (2) CONDITION REPORT Badge or court sword possibly later addition, crown on pommel spins, broken fritting on cross guard, blade is rusty, traces of original engraving present. Tulwar is rusty on blade and hilt. Approx 77cm in length
