An 18th century English turned and painted wooden doll, converted in the 19th century, the large size head and torso repainted with heavy features, the hair and ears built up of clay, papier-mache or leather, tin earrings, the body with some original paint to torso now padded to form breasts and covered with nailed on cloth, possible some original undergarments used for this purpose, replaced glazed cotton stuffed arms with kid gloves and stuffed legs, wearing nice quality 19th century doll's drawers, chemise and petticoat, cream floral printed dress and red cloth integral boots --25in.
