A 1930s French Art Deco marble, onyx and bronzed spelter mantel clock, the rectangular silvered dial with Arabic numerals and plated bezel, fronting a single train movement, a/f, on a canted black marble case faced with onyx panels, surmounted by a cast metal figure of a seated lady and a bronzed spelter figure of a seated Alsatian dog, 15in. (38cm.) high, 19¾in. (50cm.) long. * Condition: The movement is wound but is not running and therefore requires attention. The glass is loose. The case is in good condition, with a few tiny chips to the edges of the base and two spots of surface corrosion to the lady's dress. The dog is loose on its mounting.
A late Victorian Naval dress sword, with wire bound shagreen handle, lion pommel and brass hand guard, with an engraved 81cm. steel blade with maker's mark Gould & Son, black & gold tassel, in a leather scabbard. * Condition: Leather section of scabbard with bend, blade showing light pitting etc, couple of very small nibbles to blade edge.
A Continental, mid 19th century, portrait miniature of a young woman, signed "Peter", her hair with ringlets, wearing a white off the shoulder dress with pink rose, gilt metal frame with chamfered blue glass back, 3½ x 3in. (8.9 x 7.6cm.). * Condition: Several thunderbugs trapped beneath the glass. Good condition, with no visible faults. The frame is in good condition.
A WMF Art Nouveau silver plated visiting card tray, early 20th century, depicting a female figure in a long, flowing diaphanous dress, the train forming the double sided tray, impressed maker's mark and stamped '169' to underside, 13½ x 6½in. (34.3 x 16.5cm.), 8½in. (21.6cm.) high. * Condition: Good condition, with some wear to plating to the trays. Both trays are pushed slightly upwards, so the piece can be rocked slightly from side-to-side.
English School (19th century), A portrait of a lady in a white dress, holding a pink rose, three quarter length, oval pastel, original gilt frame with losses, 18 x 13in. (45.75 x 33cm.). * Condition: * Some mould spotting to surface. Probable old restoration around left side of face. Losses to frame and cresting damaged.
Studio of Sir Thomas Lawrence PRA, FRS (British, 1769-1830), Portrait of King George IV (1762-1830) in private dress, wearing the Garter Star and Order of the Golden Fleece, oil on panel bearing printed label for the colourman Robert Davy (c.1771-1843) of 16 Wardour Street, London who it states was "patronised by Sir Thomas Lawrence", 20th century frame, painted and gilded surmounted by a crown, each corner having a rosette,10¾ x 8¾in. (27.3 x 22.2cm.).* This is a reduced copy of Lawrence's original full-length portrait London, commissioned in 1822 and now in in the Wallace Collection, London. The original was given by George IV to his mistress Lady Conyngham and was considered by the King to be the most successful of several portraits that Lawrence painted of him. * Condition: Use of bitumen in dark areas, paint shrinkage, light surface dirt.
