A 1960's Susan Small Dress. A very pretty off the shoulder paisley printed dress, made from sheer rayon and lined in a blue sateen. The bodice is boned and double lined to structure. A back nylon zip. 28" waist 34" bust. A further pretty polyester floral maxi dress with waistband and pin tucking to create a vaguely pleated skirt. (2)
A 1970's Jean Varon Maxi Tent dress. The dress is made from volumes of black sateen pleated at the front and back with a bold white flower print and gold geometric pattern. Long puffed sleeves pulled in at the cuffs with two buttons. Pockets on both sides. A large 70's collar, buttons with hidden metal zip below. Large Size. A further 1970's jersey tricelon 'hershelle' long dress with bat wings. The front yoke is embellished with sequins and bugle beads. 30" waist. (2)
Two 1950's Ball Gowns. To include a White silk dress, Strapless, with a boned and shaped bodice embellished with an applique of turquoise velvet and sequins. Size 8. A further gold satin ball gown with gold sequins and jewels adorn the front of the bodice and down the front of the dress. Size 10. (2)
Two 1930's Chiffon Floral Tea Dresses. To include a beautiful silk chiffon dress with a red rose print on a black background. The dress has layers of fine tulle with applique work around the base of the dress. the sleeves are petal shaped hanging softly over the upper arm. The front has cut work applique over the fine tulle with a high waist and the back has a few lines of shirring. The dress is fastened at the side with small hook and eyes. (there is damage) A further beautiful green silk crepe de chine with cream roses. The front is slightly gathered and has a pretty silk covered buckle with silk belt. The back has original glass buttons which fasten with poppers. The sleeves are lined and tightened creating a puff. Poppers at the side to fasten. 33" Bust 26" waist. (2)
A 1950's Nina Ricci Paris Cocktail Dress. This simple flighty dress has been made beautifully from a soft khaki coloured silk crepe de chine. The dress hangs gently from the shoulders, held by straps created from the rolled silk, which then falls over the arms. High waisted, with a pretty front bow, lined and sculpted with a luxurious gold silk giving weight and shape to the dress. The back is fastened with three cord buttons and a back metal zip. 32" Bust 28" ribs. (chiffon at the back of the shawl has been cut off).
A 1970's Crocheted Knit Ensemble. The dress and top have been hand-crocheted from a bronze satin yarn, with a lovely sheen. A strapless dress with drawstring to tighten above the bust. The jacket has wonderful long slightly puffed sleeves pulling in from the elbow to the cuff. V-neck front and gathered back to form an elegant nipped waist. Bust 34" waist 24". (2)
A 1930's Tea Dress. Three Vintage Dresses. To include a 30's dress made from cream silk, printed with pretty soft coloured geometric shapes. Pleated drop waist skirt with embroidered corresponding shapes on the collar and front. 34" waist 34" bust. A 1920's "Bourne & hollingsworth" London W1 Cream lace party dress trimmed with pretty green chiffon ribbon. The skirt has tiers of lace and lined in crepe de chine with hook and eye fasteners down the side .34" Bust Hips 38" (needs a lot of tlc). A further 1950's cream lace cocktail dress tiered with metal side zip and scooped front and back. 36" bust 28" waist. (3)
A 1930's Lilac cut work lace Dress/Coat. This elegant Bias cut housecoat is made from a lilac coloured soft cotton, beautifully cut-worked into flowers throughout with a ribbon trim down the front, on the sleeves and the cuffs. The sleeves are puffed and there is a belt. No fastenings at the front. Size 8.

A pretty blue and pink floral printed drop waist dress with cream yoke and turquoise beads, attached belt. hips 34" bust 32". (marked). A further pretty full skirted cream silk printed dress with dancing couple and birds on the hemline and sleeves, side metal zip. waist 30" 36" bust. (3)
A 1980's 'Janice Wainwright' Floral Dress. A rayon silk brightly coloured floral dress with box padded shoulders with cupped sleeves, pinafore diamond shape front skirt, with a drawstring. Size 12. 32" waist. A further 1970's cream muslin maxi dress with pink and green floral diamond shape pinafore front. Cross straps. designed by 'Aristos'. Size 10.(2)
Two 1980's Mexican Folk Dresses by 'Josepha'. To include a colourful heavy cotton tunic dress with silk ribbons sewn to the fabric, cut out elbows on the sleeves. (small mark on yellow ribbon). Size 12. A further brown and grey heavy cotton with embroidered flowers in a deep orange/yellow. A back metal zip. Size 12. (2)
Two 1980's Mexican Folk Dresses by "Josepha". These full length heavy cotton tunic dresses have been hand crafted and are nostalgic of the hippie chic festival era - the white dress has a metal back zipper (small mark on back). Size 12. The colourful tunic has hand appliqueing. (a mark on the sleeve cuff). Size 12.

A further 1950's Royal blue cotton dress, with hand embroidered neckline and belt line. gathered at the waist with inner petticoats, labeled "Carnegie". 32" waist, 33" bust. Back metal zip.
Two 1950's Floral print Dresses. An Irish woven linen floral dress labeled 'Jack tookey' made in Ireland. Approx. 26" waist 30" Bust. Original front buttons from hem up with belt. And a further Silky floral dress with boned inner shaped bodice, netted petticoat, back detail on skirt, and back zip. 24" waist 30" Approx. (2)
A 1930's Ballgown. The dress is made from hoops of dark green silk velvet and rayon. This gorgeous figure hugging, elegant dress was probably worn by Catherine when she was a young lady living in their Scottish Castle. The inner fitted corset is boned and fastens separately, ensuring the bodice is held firmly in place. The dress is fastened at the side with an early bakelite side zip. Modern size 6. 30" bust 24" waist.
A 1930's Black Crepe 'Schiaparelli' Dress. No label - This stunning dress belonged to Lady Sinclair wife of the 1st Viscount Thurso. The arms have been embellished with silver sequins and studs, The dress hangs beautifully, with an opening at the front hem up to the knee. There are two plastic zips (eclair) on both sides of the dress. The back is fastened with two hook and eyes. (1)
A 1930/40's Schiaparelli Haute-Couture Ensemble. Their is no label on this outfit, but according to the family, the dress was made for Lady Sinclair, wife of The 1st Viscount Archibald Thurso. An interesting avant-garde chic black rayon top, with an outrageous, dramatic collar with tulle insets and square mother of pearl sequins. The collar can be raised with an inventive back button to hold the inner collar upwards. The shirt has a built-in padded bras, an eclair zip at the side. The bodice has an extension of silk fabric to slip under the skirt waistband. There are diamond shape gussets under the arms. The seems have been finished by hand. The skirt seems to be a slightly different tone of black to the top, which makes me wonder if this was not the original skirt. I hope my photographs will help to identify. (2)
1930's Cream Satin Ball Gown. Labeled 'Anne Talbot' Berkeley Square, W.1. This dress was made for The Hon. Catherine Sinclair in the late 1930's. The dress is made of heavy vintage satin. Hangs beautifully from the shoulders with a side fastening of poppers. There is a tear in the satin below the armpit. (2)
A 1930's Charles Frederick Worth Satin Ballgown with Jacket. A debutantes Coming Out Dress belonging to The Honourable Catherine Sinclair, daughter of Viscount Thurso, worn at 'The Queen Charlotte's Ball' in 1937. Made from a shimmering soft satin bias cut with a small train at the back. The dress has tiny green glass beads with diamante forming leaves adorning the front of the dress. Empire lined with low back and small satin covered buttons fastening the dress at the back. The jacket has long sleeves with padded shoulders, leaves of glass beads and diamante ornamenting the front, lined in a green crepe silk. (1)
1957 'Victor Stiebel' at Jacqmar London W.1. Dress & Jacket Ensemble. Elegant cafe au lait tape lace dress and jacket. The dress is beautifully fitted with a boned and shaped bodice, with inner fastenings. Square front neck, wide straps across the shoulder with a metal zip at the side. The jacket is nipped at the waist with original buttons, grosgrain cuffs, waist and belt detail. Size 8. (1)
A Delightful 1910 Wedding Gown. This beautiful Edwardian wedding dress is simple and reflective of the Edwardian elegance. Oyster coloured satin overlaid with soft draping voile. The yoke and high neck are of net embroidered with flowers. The long fitted sleeves tucked and edged with lace at the wrist and further adorned with 5 satin covered buttons from the wrist to elbow. The bodice and shoulders again overlaid with voile and threaded through satin covered buckles to form soft tabs beneath the bustline. Bands of soft 'coral pink' embroidered flowers with 'fresh green' leaves trim the bodice and oversleeve. The voile overskirt falls from beneath the bust from open tucks which give fullness to the skirt. A deep tuck down the left side gives way to a further inset and add weight to the voile. In near perfect condition, - but with small breaks in the voile at the back fastening. These have been lightly darned and are mainly hidden by the tucks. (1)
1903 Wedding Gown embroidered by the Royal School of Needlework. This very beautiful soft satin wedding gown was originally made for an aristocratic Dorset family. Hence the wonderful embroidery which will wet the appetite of anyone interested in the art and skill, featuring 'satin, stem and French knots in silk, silk floss and a very fine chenille. The overlapping rings which encircle the skirt and the train are alternately covered in silk and silk floss.' The dress has been altered over many years, loved and enjoyed. Soon after the wedding the high necked pin tucked under bodice and sleeves were removed and it was worn as a ball gown. Much later it was worn by a young lady on horseback in the Bridport Pageant of the 1950's - it's large train decorating the horses flanks!! And more recently in the 1980's the bodice was altered in order for it to be worn once again as a wedding gown. (1)

A further 1960's unworn 'Montego Bay' striped voile summer frock, with pretty flared skirt, bow at neckline, zip down the back and fully lined. Size 10. (2)
Late 19th/early 20th century Société Française de Fabrication de Bébés et Jouets bisque head composition jointed body doll, head impressed 'SFBJ 60 Paris', having brown wig, sleeping brown eyes and open mouth with teeth. Doll wears matching yellow velvet dress and bonnet, white cotton undergarments and leather shoes. Height 60cm. Possible firing error to back of head.
Two Pedigree Delite Mandy Lou black walking dolls, c.1950's: hard plastic with astrakhan hair, flirty brown eyes with eyelashes, red painted lips, smaller doll measures 51cm in height with inoperative Mama, red Pedigree dress, white undergarment, socks and shoes, larger doll measures 53cm in height, with operative Mama, ribbon to hair, red checked dress, white knickers, shoes and socks. Head slightly loose on one doll. Overall G-G+.
