A 19TH CENTURY COW HORN SCRIMSHAW POWDER FLASK incised with images of Stephenson's Rocket and other rail trains beside figures of gentlemen and ladies in period dress. The gilt metal cap with a crown surmount attached by a plaited cord. Provenance titled stickers include "Collection C.S. Gilbert", "Exhibited Houldsworth Hall, Manchester 1953", "Bridgehouse Galleries, Manchester, 1960" "Exhibited Granada Television 1960". Overall length 38cm.

A MID 18TH CENTURY CREAMWARE TRANSFER PRINTED FROG MUG, with polychrome overglazed enamels depicting a courting couple in period dress under a tree by a stream in a rural setting. Inscribed to front 'Roger Reed 1744'. The brown frog having been damaged, only four webbed feet remaining! (af) 15.5cm high.
