Mary Gallagher mentioned Jacqueline Kennedy's passion for gloves in her biography 'My Life with Jacqueline Kennedy' (1969): 'There were gloves of every length wrist, above wrist, elbow, above elbow, arm length. An RAF Squadron Leader's Service Dress, with medal bars (1939/45 mentioned in despatches), comprising tunic and trousers, cap and various Squadron ties; an VIII Group Pathfinder Force Car badge; a set of ARP overalls; a boxed Aircraft Camera Type FX53; various processing units, films and plates; a slide album etc . **These items belonged to Squadron Leader Howard William Lees who devised better techniques for taking arial photographs of enemy targets during the Second World War. He was in the Pathfinder Squadron, Bomber Command. He became a Squadron Leader after the war. He was also one of the first racing drivers to compete at Donnington Park..
