SEVRES; a pair of painted porcelain gilt metal mounted late 19th century cassolettes, each with gilt metal finial above pale pink neck and foot and main section pained with two classical young ladies and cherubs, one signed Demichel Sevres, indistinct Sevres marks visible to base, height 35.5cm (both af).Additional InformationCasolette with lady in blue dress; the cover is very badly damaged, poorly restored, glued, etc, surface scratches to the paintwork throughout, there is a restored chip to the upper section of the main body, rubbing to the gilding, two small chips to the socle base, tarnishing to the gilt work throughout. The second casolette; the lid is restored in two sections and also badly chipped, the top section is compressed so now the metal rim is at an angle, this is above a large chip with section missing to the pink rim, surface scratches throughout, again rubbing to the gilding.

A pair of late-19th century Dresden-style two-handled porcelain chocolate cups on conforming quatrefoil-shaped stands; each piece gilded and hand-decorated in enamels with scenes of figures in 18th century dress within country surroundings, each piece with painted AR blue mark to underside (2) CONDITION REPORT: The saucers are in good general overall condition with no major problems, hairlines, chips or restoration noted. The gilding and painting within the reserves appears to be generally in very good order for age with only minor gilt rubbing upon close inspection in some small spaces. The pair of two handled cups also appears to be in generally very good overall condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines or restoration noted. Both items in very good condition for age.
A pair of late-19th century Dresden-style porcelain bottle vases; each hand-decorated in typical style with lovers in 18th century dress within country surroundings and floral sprays against gilding dividing the decorative reserves, blue painted AR mark to underside, 23cm high CONDITION REPORT: The gilding is starting to rub around the lip of the rim. There are scratches to some of the gilding on the large vignettes. The enamel decoration of figures within countryside surroundings looks fairly good although there is an area of degrading to the lower left hand side. The vase looks in good order generally with no overall problems, no chips, cracks, hairlines or restoration noted. The companion vase is similarly so with gild rubbing around the top of the vas. Vertical gilt rubbing is prevalent to one of the reserves with the floral spray. Otherwise the vase appear to be in good overall original condition with no damage noted.
In the style of John Opie (1761-1807), a gilt framed oil on canvas shoulder length portrait study of a beautiful young girl with dark hair and red dress, 52.5cm x 41cm, various paper labels an painted numbers verso to frame and mounts etc., CONDITION REPORT: It look as if the painting has been in this particular frame for quite a long time and the batons that the canvas is attached to and also the surrounding batons fixed to the frame appear to be pine and are extremely dark due to time oxidisation etc. The painting itself appears to be in reasonable condition and seems to be quite dry and has a matt surface although no major holes, tears or repairs are noted. It looks as if it is flaking slightly top right and there are other areas which appear “dry”. There is some surface cracking to the paint noticeable visible to the face, nose, mouth, chin and neck area. Condition is generally commensurate with age although appears good overall.
