A rare 'Eos Herald of Dawn' mascot, by Josephine Sykes, introduced 26th February 1927,signed 'J.Sykes 26.2.27' to lower edge of drape, and inscribed 'Eos, Herald of Dawn' around the base, cire perdue nickel-plated bronze mascot with fine detailing depicting an elegant female with arms outstretched, the drapes of her dress flowing in the wind, 19cm high, with mounting stud, in single family ownership for 70 years. A rare antique early 20th century (1930's) German made Schoenau & Hoffmeister / Porzellanfabrik Burggrub bisque headed doll. The doll having a socket head with blue flirty eyes, soft eye lashes and finely painted brows. The open mouth has four top teeth present and bisque appears free from cracks or damage. Marked to the back of the head is Porzellanfabrik Burggrub, Made in Germany 6 1/2. The jointed composition body dressed in later clothes comprising of a cream lace dress, knitted cardigan, socks and leather shoes. Measures approx 55cm.
