A collection of early 20th century photographic glass plate negatives, 52 half plate (6.5 x 5in) 19 quarter plate (3.12 x 4.25in) The subjects centre on three farmhouses built in random rubble, thus probably Peak District, mainly with individuals and family groups, one large wedding group in a walled garden, also a view of a Crown Inn at an unidentified rural location, also a chauffeur with three passengers posed by a motor car with a London registration, a lady in 'Stars and Stripes' fancy dress, c. 1910 Condition Report: Two quarter plates have corners chipped off, some fugitive images at edges.
An early 20thC naval officer's dress sword, by Edwards & Gittings, of High Street, Gillingham, with folding hilt and shagreen handle and black leather brass mounted scabbard, inscribed A.E. Major, and with parchment certificate of service for Albert Edward Major, who entered Naval Service in October 1902 at the age of 15.
