Edward VII 5th Royal Irish Lancers Officers Lance Cap, fine example of the black leather body lance cap with red melton cloth mortar board top having thick gilt bullion wire cord running diagonally across and running down the corners. Officers pattern plate with silvered overlay of the Royal Arms, battle honours and winged harp. Peak stitched with two rows of bullion wire. Gilt metal lion head side bosses and leather backed linked officers chinstrap. Bullion cord plume boss with cipher of Edward VII set on green backing. Gilt metal officers plume socket holder, holding in place the fine quality and large dyed green swan feather stitched officers full dress plume. Interior of the helmet retains the original leather sweatband but the lining is now absent. Good untouched example which has not been cleaned or restored. Very fine example overall.
WW2 Indian Army 8th Punjab Regiment Officers Service Dress Cap, fine example complete with bronzed regimental cap badge having red felt backing. Thick leather chinstrap with general service side buttons. Interior with leather sweatband, quilted lining and Bangalore tailors details. Very good example overall.
WW2 ATS Service Dress Jacket and Battle Dress Blouse, four pocket serge ATS 1941 pattern jacket with brass RASC collar badge fitted above breast pocket, motor drivers arm badge to sleeve and brass ATS shoulder titles. Size label to the interior dated 1943. 1942 dated ATS pattern battle dress blouse with brass fly type buttons and bakelite buttons to the shoulder boards. Blouse remains in very good condition showing just light service wear. (2 items)
Queen Alexandria’s Royal Army Nursing Corps Officers Battle Dress Blouse, being a 1949 pattern example with embroidered grey on red cloth shoulder titles, twist cord lanyard and red backed rank pips. Original size label to the interior and complete with khaki shirt and tie. Accompanied by a WRAC 1951 pattern battle dress blouse with embroidered white on brown cloth shoulder titles to each arm. Both remain in good condition.
WRAC No1 Dress Staff Band, fine quality green women’s dress tunic with anodised WRAC buttons to the front and shoulders. Twist cord shoulder boards and rank to braid to the cuffs. One arm has bullion embroidered musicians arm badge. Interior lining retains the original size label. Good condition.
WW2 German Third Reich Artillery / Enlisted Mans Dress Sword, being a steel dove hilt pattern example with the grip retaining the original wire binding. Plain langet and cross guard with knuckle guard. Attached to the hilt is the original dress knot / portopee. Housed in its original scabbard with single hanging ring. Plain slightly curved blade with partial fuller to the back edge. Blade has makers trade mark of Rich A Herder Solingen. Blade measures 86cms, overall 106 ½ cms.
WW2 Axis Forces Bulgarian Army Officers Dress Dagger, fine example complete with its original orange celluloid grip retaining the wire binding, Bulgarian crown top pommel, cross guard with lion head finials and one side the coat of arms with rampant lion and the other side Bulgarian order. Housed in its original scabbard with hanging rings. Double edged blade with etched decoration to both sides. The blade measures 24cms, overall 39cms.
WW2 Royal Air Force Pathfinder Warrant Officers Service Dress Tunic, interesting 1944 issue four pocket service dress tunic in RAF blue with fixed waist belt and brass buckle. Navigators brevet wing over medal ribbons and pathfinders badge attached to flap of breast pocket. Warrant Officers embroidered arm badges to the sleeve. Interior with size label having clear 1944 date and tailors details of G Glanfield & Son Ltd. Tunic remains in generally good condition. Accompanied by a photocopied log book and Pathfinder certificate attributing the tunic to Warrant Officer N C Scullard 1323810.
Victorian North Somerset Yeomanry Officers Full Dress Sabretache, fine example of the bullion embroidered Victorian crowned VR cipher with three part scroll having embroidered “NORTH SOMERSET YEOMANRY”. Silver braid lace decoration to the edges of the sabretache. Complete with the rear pouch and three top hanging rings. The sabretache is accompanied by an antique glazed display case in which the original owner displayed the item. Some light areas of wear to the bullion in the word “YEOMANRY” but otherwise a good example.
Victorian 7th Queens Own Hussars Officers Full Dress Pouch, bullion embroidered crowned cipher and bullion wire leaves decoration mounted onto a universal pattern red felt covered dress pouch. Gilt metal fixing posts to the side of the pouch. Mounted in a sealed glazed display frame. Please note we have not been able to remove from the frame and inspect, item sold as viewed.
Victorian North Riding of Yorkshire Volunteer Artillery Officers Full Dress Cross Belt and Pouch, the pouch of leather body with blue cloth top and silver braid thick border, to the centre of the pouch bullion crowned metal artillery field gun with bullion embroidered Yorkshire rose below and “N R Y V A”. Black leather cross belt with silver braid top and silvered cross belt fittings. The cross belt fittings have good patina, pouch untouched with one small moth hole to the reverse and leather fitting strap attaching to the cross belt detached but present.
Japanese WW2 Army Officers Sword Katana, blade with large busy hamon and distinct nie clusters, nakago signed and pierced with a single mekugi ana, in regulation shin gunto mounts, brown and blue fabric dress knot, in its brown painted metal saya. Blade 61.5cms. Good clean condition, approximately 2mm missing from tip of blade.
^ British Officers Mameluke Dress Sword, plain curved single edge blade with false edge, iron crosspiece and grip strap, 2 piece ivory grips, bullion dress knot, in its steel scabbard with 2 hanging rings. Blade 79cms. Good condition, a few minor dents to scabbard and some patches of rusted fabric pattern, cleaned overall.
EIIR Royal Navy Officers Dress Sword by Wilkinson with crowned EIIR cipher and fouled anchor amidst oak leaves, back edge stamped 109240, regulation gilt hilt with folding side guard, wire bound grip, bullion dress knot, in its gilt brass mounted leather scabbard. Blade 78 ½ cms, overall 99cms. Good condition, blade in almost mint condition, minor wear to gilding.
