CONDITION REPORT: Large doll has no eyes but both bisque is ok. Just light surface wear. Golly is in very poor condition indeed.

CONDITION REPORT: The brooch is very dirty, the bangle is misshapen and the ring is a dress ring, so is neither gold nor silver plated.

Thomas Hand (British, 1771-1804) - Figures in a Woodland Landscape, oil on canvas, 29 x 35 cm The thinner passages of paint in the background of the painting show signs of wear and abrasion. Examined under ultraviolet light small, scattered areas of retouching are visible. These are mainly present in the background covering wear but are also present in the dress of the figures. Retouching is present across the surface of the painting but are small touches rather than wholesale overpaint and are well matched to the surrounding, original paint.

Singer was Alderman of the City of London Freeman of the Skinners Company. The collection comprises: a Mary Queen of Scots two piece Tudor style costume in gold brocade; a red velvet stomacher and a Tudor pearl edge cap; a yellow butterfly costume with large wings and an antennae cap in cotton fabric; a stumpy umbrella costume in different colourways and a matching tasselled hat; a pale pink lace Miss Muffet dress and muslin apron, some of these outfits were purchased from Harrods (4)
