GC (some minor chipping and one sword arm missing); set 229 US Cavalry Service Dress, box containing 6 mounted figures in khaki, on walking horses 3 brown, 3 black; original box, lid severe damage, base GC with packing card. AF to GC (1 horse leg damaged and rider head reattached, 1 arm missing, mostly minor playwear chipping) and set 432 German Infantry, marching in field grey dress with steel helmets, 7 OR's rifles shouldered and officers sword drawn but broken and missing. In original ROAN box, minor wear but writing to lid, with insert card. AF to VGC (minor wear to finish)
2 Britains sets 30 Drums and Bugles of the Line, 8 figures, 2 side drum, 4 buglers, 2 straight and 2 bent arm, bass drummer and drum major all in full trousers and parade dress; in original boxes with packing card, minor wear for age. Basically GC to VGC for age, (minor wear and chipping, bass drum helmet overpainted and ball top mising, replacement mace).
12 various infantry 4 City Imperial Volunteers khaki dress with slouch hats standing rifles in on guard position from set 104; 3 York and Lancs Regiment in light brown foreign service dress running rifles at the trail; and 5 Army Service supply column escorts for general service wagon, khaki service dress,marching four at trail, 1 slope arm, all slouch hats, 2 oval base. QGC to GC for age (some play and age wear, head or legs refixed to 3)
Small quantity of Britains Medical personnel, including 9 lying wounded soldiers, 5 stretchers and 2 Hill & Co, 6 khaki stretcher bearers, 2 in blue dress with spike helmet, and 5 medical officers with spike helmets and cocked hat each standing with swords drawn. Af to GC (some wear, 1 head detached)
26 various regiments: 12 from set 2096 Irish Guards pipers service dress kilts; 6 from set 98 Kings Royal Rifle Corps marching green uniform full headdress cap with plumes, rifles at the trail; and 8 Cameronians marching foreign service dress with rifles sloped. QGC to GC for age (some play wear, pipers repainted, some dulling of finish, 1 rifle damaged)
7 Danish Lingarde from set 2019, 6 OR's marching, rifles cradled to shoulder and officer sword sheathed, review dress; plus 7 French Foreign Legion set 1711 in mid to dark blue coats with red trousers (6 slope arms marching and 1 standing firing plus an officer mounted on standing horse). GC to VGC (minor wear only but gloss gone from bearskin and red jackets of Danish group)
Set 110 6 scarce 1901 oval base Devonshire Regiment, in service dress marching all with smooth helmets, 5 rifles sloped, 1 at the trail, 4 bases have paper labels "Jan 20th 1901". In an original 1920s Whisstock label set 110 box, some age wear. Figures GC for age (some paint loss, overall matt finish , all rifles have lost bayonets)
Set No 79 British Sailors landing party, with breech loading field gun comprising 9 running, square bases, RN figures in blue dress, Petty Officer with sword drawn and 8 ratings fixed arm with holes to hands for ropes from 2 wheeled limber and small field gun, ammunition in limber. In original set box with divider card to base, some repair and over writing to lid in blue crayon. Figures etc GC to VGC (mostly minor wear, some possible refinishing to one)
2 sets-No 31 1st Dragoons The Royals 4 mounted figures on walking horses full dress, swords drawn; and No 32 Royal Scots 2nd Dragoons 5 mounted on cantering horses full dress and bearskins, swords drawn; both in original set boxes, minor to some wear with tie in cards. Figures AF to GC for age (few heads detached/refixed, some retouching)
2 general service 4 wheel wagons, each with 2 horse collar harness team, ASC rider to 1, with khaki wagon, twisted wire traces and 2 seated wagon riders; artillery rider to the other team, plain traces grey finish wagon with wire hoops and 2 ASC seated riders, all in full blue dress and spike helmet. QGC to GC (some wear to finish, refinishing up to 3 figures and 2 horses)
2 RHA gun team sets 6 horse team light harness cantering 3 outriders whips outstretched in fixed arm, limber with opening back and field gun, four escort riders on galloping horses with carbines to hand and a fixed arm officer mounted all in full parade dress; plus a walking heavy collar harness team, riders and seated men on limber in khaki service dress with peaked caps and field gun. GC to VGC (most items refinished)
RHA gun team 6 light harness walking horses with 3 riders in khaki service dress, peaked cap, opening back limber and field gun in khaki; together with fumed finish general service wagon with 2 horse light harness team outrider and 2 seated riders in khaki with peaked cap, 3 wire hoops for wagon. QGC to GC (refinishing to 6 horses, riders and limber and 2 seated figures)
Set 31 5 Mounted 1st Dragoons The Royals, full dress 4 OR's with lances at the ready on galloping horses and trumpeter on catering horse. In original set box with Whisstock label and internal packing card, mostly minor wear. Basically GC (minor wear chipping mainly to horse legs but 1 back leg missing, frosting to lance tips.) Set 141 8 French Infanterie de Ligne marching rifles sloped, full dress long horizon blue coats and kepis. Original set box with Whisstock label, wear and tear to base of box. GC to VGC (minor wear and chipping, a few bayonets bent, possible refinishing, rank embellisment to 1) (See lot 322 for illustration).
2 general service wagons fumed finish, 1 with 2 horse team RASC outrider on collar harness horse and 2 seated wagon riders in full dress; plus similar wagon with added red cross and made up canvas tilt with 4 horse team, outriders RASC and 2 seated RAMC to wagon, all in full dress with spike helmet. GC (some refinishing to figures and horses)
A scarce RFA set 144A, comprising 6 horse collar harness team, 3 outriders, limber and gun in field grey; 2 riders to limber, and 2 mounted officers swords drawn, all figures in khaki service dress with caps. GC for age (minor wear and chipping, 3 figures refinished, 1 officer horse fore leg broken, replaced trace) (See lot 332 for illustration).
