A 585 yellow metal, aquamarine and diamond set three stone dress ring, with pierced stepped setting, size KCondition: Gross weight 5.6 grams. Aquamarine facet edges quite worn, with a scratch and a couple of nicks also. 3 possible old repairs to the gold setting?? One diamond setting a little off centre.

Two early 20th century 18ct gold, ruby and diamond set dress rings, sizes- N(3 stone) and R. Gross weight 4.4 grams.Condition- 3 stone- One diamond has a small chip and some minor wear to the setting. Other ring- Shank quite thin and a little mis-shapen. One of the diamonds is badly chipped, the other has a tiny nick and two of the rubies have wear to the table facet edge.

Garnet has a couple of small chips to the table and a crown facet edge, otherwise good condition. Hallmarks clear. Garnet length 8.3mm with a depth of 4mm.

§ JOHN HOUSTON R.S.A., R.S.W., S.S.A (SCOTTISH 1930-2008) THE BLUE DRESSSigned, watercolour (Dimensions: 12.5cm x 8.5cm (5in x 3.25in))Exhibited: 'Cabinet Paintings,' August 2001, Compass Gallery , Glasgow. Biography: John Houston, born in Fife in 1930, attended and subsequently taught at the Edinburgh College of Art between 1955-1989. His early works were vibrant and semi-abstract, but by the late 1960s, his paintings became more expressive, influenced by Turner and American Abstract Expressionism. Houston often painted landscapes and seascapes, many of which are now held in important Scottish collections. Houston received an Honorary Doctorate from Heriot-Watt University in 2004 and held a major retrospective at the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art in 2005. He was elected to the Royal Scottish Academy in 1972 and was married to the Scottish artist Elizabeth Blackadder from 1956 until his death in 2008.
Hallmarked Silver Scottish Dress Dirk, Edinburgh 1889, maker R&HBK (Kirkwood), plain blade 21cms, bog oak grip carved with woven design, silver mounts engraved with strap work, in its leather-covered sheath, locket also engraved with family crest of a plant with single flower head beneath sun-in-splendour situated off to one side, companion knife and fork en-suite, blade of the former stamped with the maker JOHN SELLER. Good condition, dirk blade shortened and refinished.

Blade 78 ¾ cms. Good condition, age worn and now covered with gold paint.

EDWICK RUMBOLD - SHADES OF GREY C/W BOGGLE WOGGLE 7" - ORIGINAL UK DEMO (PARLOPHONE - R 5622). Killer cuts here from Edwick Rumbold, this a superb condition original UK demo on Parlophone (green/white labels, R 5622). The record is in ace Ex+ or 'NM' condition with only a couple of extremely minor, faint and wispy hairline marks. Fantastic clean condition labels. Complete with brill Ex+ condition original company sleeve. Penned by Jeff Martin, he stated "We recorded "Boggle Woggle" as a promotional exercise for ICI's then new range of psychedelic coloured dress material, and I hurriedly came up with "Shades of Grey" as a b-side, which was then switched and released as the 'A'!"
