A 1970's evening dress with a purple top and a lime/green and purple print skirt, together with pink/white window pane check evening dress late 1960's - a cotton voile print long 1970's (Abigails Party dress) with a draped neckline - a blue checked cotton pinnefore dress and with blouse with blue ribbon onto broderie anglaise sleeves (mid 1960's) and a late 1950's lace/nylon shortened wedding dress and a late 1940's evening dress in black velvet (side metal zip) and a paste stone bow clip attached. 19thC 32nd NATIVE INDIAN INFANTRY EIC OFFICERS TUNICS. An early C1825 32nd Native Infantry officers red dress coatee, with silver bullion front adornments and matching epaulettes. Silver buttons of concave manufacture (29) adorn the coatee with silver bullion cuffs and tails with black backings. A 19thC 32nd Native Infantry officers tunic in red with black backings to collar, cuffs and tails with silver bullion adornments. A 19thC 32nd Native Infantry officers Mess tunic in red with black backings and silver bullion edgings and adornments. The three are in exceptionally good condition, very little staining or damage evident A copy of a painting of the actual officer Lt John Abraham Russell wearing the full dress coatee, is with this lot. Captain John Abraham Russell served as an officer in the East India Companies, 32nd Native Infantry. He retired on Half Pay in 1835. See Illustrations
37th INDIAN BALUCH LANCERS FULL DRESS TUNIC etc. A Full Dress tunic of an officer in the 37th Baluch Lancers, complete with plastron front and trews. Solar Helmet with spike top and another in original metal case. Aiguillettes and a lancer pennant. The full dress tunic is black with the front, cuffs and collars in beige material. Plain convex shape buttons and gold bullion decoration to cuffs etc. Brass epaulettes with Captains pips and gold bullion aiguillettes, beige piping to the rear of the tunic. A 37th Lancers Lungi is also present with partial fulldress belt. These and the following lots (with the exception of Major General L E Anderson CB's uniform), were mostly worn by Colonel A L B Anderson, Connaught Rangers, XVth and 37th Lancers, Vice Roy's Bodyguards Adjudant also Comptroller of the Vice Regal Household. Arthur Louis Brunker Anderson born in the West Indies 16/10/1889. Educated at Woodtown House, Rathfamham, County Dublin and Rossall School. Served in the North Tipperary Militia later 18th Royal Irish Regiment, thence the Connaught Rangers. 37th Lancers Baluch Horse June 1918 , afterwards with the XVth Lancers. Wounded severely in April 1916 with the 88th, last officer survivor of the two Battalions that merged on 5th Dec 1914 in France. Full copied details of service are available. See Illustrations. .
15th LANCERS MESS DRESS WAISTCOAT. An ornate 15th Lancers mess dress waistcoat with beige material, heavily decorated with brocade in profusion. Based on a mixture of 37th Lancers facings with 17th Lancers cavalry decoration C1926. Also a mess dress 'Hot Weather' Cummerbund and a plain red mess example (37th Lancers).
A VICE REGAL OFFICERS FULL DRESS (Mtd) TUNIC & WAISTCOAT. A C1910's Vice Regal Officers Mounted Full Dress Tunic in red with black collar and cuffs. White piping and a central black rope decoration to the collar, with Edward V11 buttons. Note attached to the tunic states it was worn by at least three officers in different periods of the 1910-20 & 30's respectively. Red (8) pipe decoration rope adornments to the front, mostly white piping to the rear with buttons covered in protective tissue paper.
A M-GENERALS FULL DRESS UNIFORM etc. A Gt War period full dress uniform with Generals rank full dress coat, trousers, epaulettes, boots. Scarlet and gold bullion sash, full dress tunic with bullion elbow - cuff ornate decoration, Victorian RAMC sidecap with gilt/silver cm badge. A Generals grey cloth overcoat, with GV buttons. All contained in a tin trunk. The items in this lot were worn by Major General Louis Edward Anderson CB, later D D M S Southern Command India. Born 27/3/1861 at Roden Place Dundalk, educated at Dundalk School and Qualified at the College of Surgeons Dublin in 1881. Too young for the army he sailed as a Ships Doctor, for six voyages. 1881-84. He served in the Soudan Expedition December 1884 (Medal with two clasps-Khedives Star) . Thence to India and served in the Tochi Valley (Medal & clasp). Served in the South African War (QSA with two clasps including Defence of Mafeking). KSA with two clasps MID LG 8/2/1901. Surgeon General 1912-Major General in 1919. War Medal 1914-18 for service in Ireland until 1916, thence India. CB 1913. Full copied details available.
A VICE ROY's BODYGUARDS FROCKCOAT etc. A formal black dress Vice Roy's Bodyguard's Frockcoat with EDV11 buttons and cypher C1910. Another similar coat lacking its buttons, also three cased plumes. The first in black feathers for a dress hat, the second with full white horse hair for wear fulldress helmets. The third in red and white upright plume, for a parade hat. Masonic capes including Knights of the Black Heart and also Knights of the White Heart. Breeches and other uniform items, are in this lot. A white full length females Burkah outfit , with lace eye slits. Worn whilst on secret exercises and security operations, in Indian crowds C1938/39, by an army officer. Including two by Sabreur of 5th Royal Irish Lancers 1858 and 'The Carabiniers ' The 6th Dragoon Guards, Circa 1900. Unsigned others include 4th Q O Hussars, 4th Royal Irish Dragoon Guards, 11th P A O Hussars. An officers in the 2nd Indian Lancers, Gardeners Own. An original photograph of a Hussars officer C1910, the seven are all framed.

Boxed Normandy 1944 medal numbered 8317, also Frances liberators boxed medal in gilt. Boxed Dunkirk medal and Commando blazer buttons, Royal Engineers Officers buttons and badges. Cloth Commando Badge in black with green wreath and FS dagger. A Miniature set of the first five mounted and ready for dress wear. A 1945 dated Commando Service Certificate named to Captain W J R Heppell RE. A large quantity of original photographs of Mjr Heppell in various periods of the war and with various soldiers/commandos etc. A 1957 photograph of Mjr Perry with the 109 Glamorgan Army Engineer Regt TA. His original Commission Scroll dated the 18th September 1939 2/Lt Territorial Army. Framed images and Dunkirk Medal award scroll etc. Framed Mention in Despatches original Certificate Captain (temp) W J R Keppell Royal Engineers LG date 9th August 1945. Wall plaques Royal Engineers, No 4 Commando etc His 1897 pattern GV1 cypher Sword and post war Commando Dagger both with their scabbards are with the group. The hilt of the dagger is the blackened ring 3rd type, the frog lacks its elastic No 1 in pommel. His military compass, leather walking out stick with internal plumb line, and Services booklet.
