Guard loose. While all the characteristics of this pattern of sword are present, there is a possibility that this is in fact a general officer's sword of the same period.

No depth measurement available as the there is gold solder to the shank directly below the culet.

Colourful and flamboyant burlesque image of scantily dressed smiling Bluebell Girls dancing in their flowing white feather costumes and sparkly jewellery with gentlemen in top hats as black silhouettes behind them against a dark blue background, the text over the white dress in stylised blue and black letters below. Le Lido opened in 1946; the Irish dancer "Miss Bluebell" Margaret Leibovici (nee Kelly; 1910-2004) founded the renowned Bluebell Girls dance troupe who performed at the Paris Lido from 1947.
