Three late 19th/early 20th century bisque head and composite bodied dolls to include a Simon Halbig German No.126 baby doll, with real hair, open mouth, porcelain head, jointed composite limbs and nightdress, length approx 30cm (af), a German No.45 doll with bisque head, real hair, sleepy eyes, open mouth, jointed composite body and limbs, original tartan dress and shoes, inscribed 'Made in Germany No.45' to the back of the neck, length approx 52cm and a possibly Kammer & Rheinhardt Simon Halbig inscribed 'German No.126 56' to the back of the neck, with porcelain head, real hair, sleepy eyes and open mouth, with composite body and limbs, original undergarments and dress, length approx 56cm (3). CONDITION REPORT The dolls have been stored in a loft for some time and this is the first time in over fifty years that they have been seen. They have been played with and are in various conditions. The Simon Halbig example has the lower right leg detached, but it is present and the eyes are missing.
ROYAL NAVY INTEREST; a collection of military items belonging to Captain J C G Field of the Royal Navy M.S.C. C.Eng. M.I.E.E., to include a framed four-medal display containing the 1939-45 War Medal, Italy Star, Africa Star with Africa 1942-43 bar to the ribbon, 1939-45 Star, a George VI WWII Naval officer's sword in scabbard, with wire bound shagreen grip and gilt sword knot, with etched blade, leather belt with Naval emblem buckle, together with an album of photographs relating to a possible Caribbean island outpost, many personally taken photographs, including examples with dignitaries and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, a framed photograph of Captain Field in full Naval military dress with sword and a box of loose personally and officially taken photographs relating to his life, etc.
A WWII German Army K98 dress bayonet, with black metal scabbard and leather frog, length of unmarked blade 19.5cm, with textured black Bakelite grips (af). CONDITION REPORT There is some mould growing on the leather frog, scratches and pitting to the scabbard, with surface corrosion showing through. The plated pommel on the bayonet is pitted and scuffed. The blade appears in fairly good order.
A German WWII Army dress dagger, the 10" unmarked blade mounted with a butterscotch amber-coloured wound grip, with scabbard, overall length 40cm.Footnote: The vendor's father was stationed in North East Germany at the end of the war, in the vicinity of Hermann Göring's hunting estate, which was in the Schorfheide Forest in the North of Brandenburg. He returned from his posting there with this dagger and it has remained in the family ever since. CONDITION REPORT There are some areas of pitting to the scabbard, although the knife itself appears to be in fairly good order.
Two 14ct ladies' dress rings, one white gold floral and bow diamond set ring, central diamond and six diamond surround in the form of leaves, size J, and a 14ct yellow gold example with central oval cabochon sapphire and three tiny diamonds to each shoulder, size J (2). CONDITION REPORT Combined approx 5g.
