His first solo collection launched in 1972 and he became a notable designer throughout the 1970s even designing the dress Twiggy wore to the 1971 film premiere of The Boy Friend which attracted a great deal of media attention.

Talitha Grey, Marianne Faithfull, Pattie Boyd and Bianca Jagger all wore them. Even Brian Jones and Keith Richards couldn't resist the odd blouse!

Clark's favourite model Gala Mitchell was photographed wearing this dress for a model shoot in the late 60s.
