J.B. HUTTO - THINGS ARE SO SLOW/DIM LIGHTS (CHANCE 1165) - 2 furious sides from JB with this original US 78 on Chance Records (CH-1165). Known for his unique demeanour, Joseph would often dress in bright suits and hats and used a 50-foot guitar lead, JB’s wild and exuberant stage act made an unforgettable show! The A side is in V condition with some light surface marks and two small 'indentations'. The B side is in neat V+ condition with only a couple of minor surface markings.

Early Victorian Lord Lieutenant / High Sheriffs City of London Full Dress Coatee Tunic & Epaulettes, fine scarlet cloth with two rows of silvered fine quality tunic buttons with the crowned crest of the City of London to the centre. Heavy bullion embroidered acorns to blue / black stand up collar. Cuffs also with bullion decoration. Reverse of the coatee has bullion embroidered crowned order of the garter tail ornaments. Partial quilted lining to the interior of the coatee. Accompanied by the original matching pair of full dress epaulettes, having silver wire fringe ends and bullion embroidered crowned order of the garter insignias to the centre. Both epaulettes have the silvered City of London buttons. The set shows heavy wear and some mothing to the coatee, the order of the garter motifs have damage and stitching faults. In need of some light restoration.
1937 Pattern Battle Dress Blouse, which has three original khaki backed rank pips to the shouders and then post war applied insignis for the Royal Marines Commando and 3rd Infantry division. Black cord lanyard attached to shoulder board and pocket. Original size label to the interior. Good overall condition.
WW2 1940 Pattern The Black Watch Royal Highlanders Officers Battle Dress Blouse, good example with single red backed rank pips to each shoulder, embroidered 51st Highland Division formation sign, two red felt brigade bars on khaki backing and crudely made tartan Black Watch Royal Highlanders regimental sign. Original size label to the interior and WD stamp with date letter “N” above for 1943. Good used example with some light areas of moth.
WW2 2nd Battalion Beds & Herts Regiment Majors Battle Dress Blouse, good example being a war aid issue example which was manufactured in Australia in 1942. To each arm is printed regimental shoulder title, 4th Infantry division printed formation sign and felt regimental flash. To each shoulder board is majors rank crown. Battle Dress shows light service wear but generally a good example. The 2nd Battalion formed part of the 10th Infantry Brigade, 4th Infantry Division. They were part of the British Expeditionary Force dispatched to France in September 1939 and evacuated from Dunkirk in 1940. They spent two years on home defence in the UK expecting a German invasion of England which never arrived. It took part later in the North African Campaign in 1941–42, the Tunisia Campaign in 1942–1943, the Italian Campaign in 1944 and the liberation of Greece in 1944–1945.
WW2 Highland Light Infantry Officers Service Dress Uniform, consisting of highland doublet service dress with brass regimental officers tunic buttons to the front, pockets and shoulder boards. Bronze OSD regimental collar badges. Gilt metal majors rank crown to each shoulder, evidence of where he has at one point been lower ranks. Complete with its belt and matching service dress trousers. The tunic cuffs have been fitted with leather and some areas of period repair. Good worn uniform.
WW2 Uniform Grouping of Sergeant R D Jenner Prince Alberts Own 11th Hussars 7th Armoured Division, superb example of the walking out type 1940 pattern battle dress tailored with open collar and internal shoulder pads. To each arm is rank stripes with RAC arm of service stripe and embroidered 7th Armoured division formation sign, evidence of where the 11th Hussars arm badge has once been present. Above the breast pocket are medal ribbons for 1939-45 star, Africa star with 8th army numeral, Italy star, France and Germany star, Defence medal and 1939-45 war medal. 1944 dated tailors label to the interior of the blouse with his name “SGT JENNER” inked, also WD stamped with date letter “Z” for 1945. Accompanied by a pair of matching walking out battle dress trousers stamped with War Department mark and date letter “M” for 1944. Included in the group is his original 11th Hussars pattern brown beret with maroon central band, cloth lining with leather sweatband. Broad arrow and 1942 date stamped to the lining of the beret. Accompanied by a photograph album containing his wartime pictures and newspaper cuttings covering his service through North Africa, Middle East, Italy, North West Europe and as occupation force in Spandau. Many very good clear images of fellow comrades, armoured cars, civilians, battle damage, etc. Amongst the album are other items of ephemera collected at the time including bank notes etc. Other sundry badges, insignia, paperwork and equipment items also included. Trooper, later Sergeant Ronald D Jenner was born in Bexleyheath, Kent. He was educated at the Boys Central School, once left he worked at Messrs A Hide and Son, Bexleyheath in the men’s outfitting department. He joined the 11th Hussars in 1942, a newspaper cutting in the album states that he along with the crew of his armoured car were the first to enter Tripoli and Tunis. His service spanned 1942 until demoded in 1946. He served in the Middle East, Italy, France, Holland, Belgium and Germany.

To the breast are medal ribbons for Burma star and 1939-45 star. To each shoulder strap is three cloth rank pips. 1943 dated size label to the interior. Good overall condition.

Above the breast pocket are medal ribbons for 1939-45 star, France & Germany star and Defence medal. Interior retains the original size label which is dated 1944. Good overall condition.
Queen Alexandra’s Royal Army Nursing Corps (Q.A.R.A.N.C) Uniform Group, consisting of WRAC 1949 pattern battle dress blouse with single rank crown to the shoulder, twist cord lanyard, embroidered regimental shoulder titles, embroidered RAMC Emergency Reserve cloth formation signs and WW2 medal ribbon bar. Complete with the original label to the interior dated 1952. Accompanied by 1951 pattern battle dress skirt, khaki blouse, khaki tie and female pattern wool service dress peaked cap. German Fire Officials Dress Dagger, pre-Third Reich period example having black leather grip retaining its wire binding, steeped steel pommel, cross guard with central crossed axes and fire helmet. Double edged blade with central ridge. The blade is etched with foliage and Fire Brigade motifs to the central panels of both sides. Early Carl Eickhorn makers trade mark to the base of the blade. No scabbard.
Third Reich SA Dress Dagger by Justinuswerk Solingen, untouched example with wooden grip having aluminium eagle and enamel SA device inserted. Lower cross guard mount stamped “OST” to the reverse. Double edged blade with motto “Alles fur Deutschland”. Makers trade mark to the base of the blade. Some staining and signs of sharpening to the edge. Scabbard missing the paint finish and attempted erasure of details to eagle and SA device.
Third Reich SA Dress Dagger by Wilhelm Kober & Co Suhl, excellent example of a SA dress dagger with the wooden grip having eagle and enamel SA device inserted. Lower cross guard stamped with “Th” to the reverse. Housed in its original scabbard retaining much of its original anodised finish to the obverse, the reverse of the scabbard shows wear from poor storage. Attached to the scabbard ring mount is the original short pattern leather hanging strap. Dagger blade remains in near mint condition with much of the original polish remaining. Blade etched with motto “Alles fur Deutschland”. Makers trade mark logo to the base of the blade.
Third Reich Hitler Youth Boys Dress Dagger by J A Henckels, good untouched example of the early pattern Hitler Youth dress dagger with motto “Blut und Ehre!” to the blade. Enamelled Hitler Youth diamond badge set into the chequered grip. Housed in its original black painted scabbard with leather fixing strap and press button top. Makers trade mark to the centre of the reverse of the blade. Motto remains clear. Good untouched example.
Third Reich RLB (Reichsluftshutzbund) Enlisted Mans 1st Model Dress Dagger, black ebony grip with enamelled RLB and swastika within starburst badge to the centre, original top pommel and stylised eagle and swastika cross guard. Housed in the original scabbard with single mounting fitting. Double edged E & F Horseter, Solingen marked blade. The top pommel is suffering from metal fatigue and some chips out of the handle.
