English School third quarter 18th Century-A miniature portrait of a lady said to be Mary Catherine Mills [d.1825],:- head and shoulders with powdered hair tied in a bow and brown eyes, wearing a pearl necklace and pink dress adorned with a sprig of leaves, on ivory, oval, 3.4cm, in a copper frame within a black shagreen case.
A vintage beadwork panel, the beadwork 83cm long graduating from 18cm at top to 45cm at bottom woven on a slightly larger gauze, clear and milky white beads, smoky coloured brilliant crystals, thought to have originally been part of a headdress or veil, would also be suitable for a front panel in a dress.
A collection of seven Japanese prints,early 20th century, comprising 'Beauty in a Bath Dress' after Toyohito Utagawa (1773-1828), 18.5cm x 29.5cm, 'A Badger' after Katsushika Hokusai (1760-1849), 18.5cm x 29cm, 'Carpenters' after Tosa Mitsuoki (1617-1691), 20cm x 30cm, 'A Lagerstromeia' after Wong Je-Shui, 29cm x 19.5cm, 'A Beauty in Autumn Suburbs' after Hokuba Teisai (1771-1844), 30cm x 19.5cm, 'A Beauty' after Kokan Shiba (1747-1818), and a final example depicting a woman standing on a man's back, 19cm x 29.5cm (7)Prints appear to be in a good condition, but they have not been inspected out of their frames.
