Antique Silver Mother of Pearl Cufflinks and Dress Shirt Studs. A truly stunning set of iconic Art Deco sterling silver and Mother of Pearl Cufflinks and Dress Shirt Studs. The Cufflinks have fastening bars and the Dress Studs screw into their bases. The set comes in the original case, brown and gold on the outside and cream velvet and satin on the inside. The satin is printed with 'The OP set' and Pat No: 319.947. Both the Cufflinks and the Studs are marked 'Sterling' and 'OP'. A superb set all in excellent condition.

Rare original vintage advertising poster issued during the Second World War in the Nazi occupied France for an arts exhibition organised by Mr. Serge Lifar and the Central Union of Decorative Arts Ballet and Dance in the Romantic Period 1800-1850 / Le Ballet et la Danse a l'Epoque Romantique held from January to April 1942 at the Musee des Arts Decoratifs Pavillon de Marsan, featuring an illustration of a lady in a ballet dress and shoes stood at the door with a bouquet of irises in a vase. Printed by Mourlot, Paris. Serge Lifar ( 1905 - 1986) was a Ukrainian ballet dancer and choreographer, famous as one of the greatest male ballet dancers of the 20th century. Not only a dancer, Lifar was also a choreographer, director, writer, theoretician about dance, and collector. As ballet master of the Paris Opera from 1930 to 1944, and from 1947 to 1958, he devoted himself to the restoration of the technical level of the Paris Opera Ballet, returning it to its place as one of the best companies in the world.
