Scottish provincial Silver Table Snuff Box by William Robb of Ballater, who was engaged as a Silversmith to the Royal Family at the Balmoral Estate. Inlaid with Scottish agates and a central Cairngorms with an engraved Celtic border. Maker's mark in a triangular punch "ROBB BALLATER", Edinburgh Castle town hallmark and Scottish thistle silver mark along with the date letter "A" for c1906 - c1907, approx 260g. William Robb was commissioned on many occasions by King Edward VII and his mother Queen Victoria to make silver for the Royal family and also utilitarian wares for the dress uniforms of the Balmoral Highlanders.
