CONDITION REPORT: Size M for the ring, generally clean order. These appear to be beneath the surface of the stone the black marks.Small diamonds are present. Its estimated at £150 by £250 and we are unsure if any other items by this designer are coming up.

George VI Naval Officers' dress sword with brass lion-head pommel, Gothic hilt and shagreen grip, etched blade with brown mounted leather scabbard.Provenance: Formerly the property of Lieutenant Commander Francis John Brooks R.N., who passed his Submarine Commanders course in April 1939, aged 28. He had a lucky escape when his submarine H.M.S. Unity collided off Blyth with a Norwegian ship in bad visibility and sank with the loss of four men. He went on to serve on H.M.S. Upright and decimate the Italian shipping in the shallow waters of Kerkenah Bank off Malta. Whilst on leave he had some time in the air with the R.A.F. The aircraft he was in was attacked and the rear gunner was hit, so Lt. Commander Brooks took his place and he too was shot and died before landing. He was thirty-two years old. Sold with letter of provenance from his daughter. See lot 852 for his Naval epaulettes
