MARY BREWSTER HAZELTON (AMERICAN 1868-1953) PORTRAIT OF A SEATED LADY IN EVENING DRESS Oil on canvas, signed and dated 1923, 77 x 63.5cm (30 1/4 x 25") Gilbert Telfer Collection, Edinburgh Condition Report: There are three small patches on the lower half section of the canvas verso, corresponding to restoration work noticeable recto. On close inspection there are also two small damage areas with retouching one located on the left hand and the other on the right hand, lower quarter sections. There is a impressed damage line in the canvas, approximately 2 centimetres in length, located to the right of the figure's neck. There is a light vertical score mark on the surface, approximately 10 centimetres in length, located in the bottom right hand quarter section in proximity to the corner.
CLARA M HAWKES (BRITISH 19TH CENTURY) PORTRAIT OF A LADY IN EVENING DRESS Oil on canvas, signed and dated 1896, 61 x 51cm (24 x 20") Gilbert Telfer Collection, Edinburgh Condition Report: The painting has been lined and there are signs of a small amount of retouching in areas in the top left hand quarter section. There is fine cracking in the pigment in the area of the upper back with retouching having also taken place in this area. There appears to be very tiny areas of retouching in the area lower left of the mouth.
W PARTINGTON (BRITISH LATE 19TH/20TH CENTURY) THE DUCHESS OF ARGYLE Pastel, 70 x 52cm (27 1/2 x 20 1/2") Inscribed with title and artist's name on plaque recto Gilbert Telfer Collection, Edinburgh Condition Report: On inspection there are small darkish in tone foxing/damp marks, two located on the face, two on the area of the upper chest, around 8 on the left puff area of the figures dress, a slightly larger one located at the top of this puff and two below this area of the dress in the left hand section, of 2 centimetres and 3 centimetres in diameter, respectively. There is a small loose fragment of what appears like wool located in the top right hand quarter section.

There is also a suggestion of light foxing in the area below the basket of flowers.

A CLARICE CLIFF BIZARRE APPLIQUE IDYLL PATTERN JUG of bonjour shape, painted with a woman in crinoline dress on a garden path, 16.5cm high Condition Report: The jug has a firing crack to the base of one of the feet. In the same area there is a chip between the body and foot which has been restuck. No other damage.
