Stephen Gooden (1892-1955) ''Pegasus'' Signed and dated 1944 in pencil, etching, 9.5cm diameter (tondo) together with a signed 13/20 etching by Brouet ''La Loge de Danseuses'' and a signed etching by Anders Zorn depicting a nude standing on coastal rocks, 23.5cm by 16cm, 16cm by 22cm and 24cm by 15.5cm respectively (3) Stephen Gooden' ''Pegasus'' was the frontispiece to ''Poems from the Desert'', a collection of poems written by members of the eighth army while on active service in the desert, hence the three soldiers trying to mount Pegasus. There is a signed note addressed to Messrs Craddock & Barnard from the artist dated 8th December 1950 outlining this, in addition to a further hand written letter addressed to G C R Maurice Esq. and dated July 19th 1952 from the artist sold together with this lot.
