Pat Rooney (1844-1966), five sketchbooks containing caricature portraits, etc, an early 20C autograph book, various art publications including The Art Treasures of Great Britain (parts 1-6), Dent & Sons Ltd, International Art Past and Present (Div 1-12), Virtue & Co, Modern Etching and Engraving (Vols 1-20, some incomplete), Virtue & Co, a portfolio of bird prints after Basil Ede, a late Victorian sketchbook and a letter of appreciation to Pat Rooney (Q)Note: Pat Rooney was a prolific artist and for 25 years visited countless RAF stations to draw portraits of servicemen and women in caricature form during WW2 and after.
A near pair of pauldrons from late 16th century European armour, with turned over roped edges, sunken borders with domed brass and iron rivet heads, and etched overall with foliate scrolls, panels and borders. GC for age (one more worn than the other with little etching visible and some damage).
