An 18th century carved ivory and painted paper fan, the sticks finely carved, the guard sticks with mother of pearl backing and carved with a Chinese figure beneath a pagoda above carved floral decoration, the paper fan with three hand painted cartouches and decorated with gold foil and sequins, together with card fan case labelled 'Clark Fan maker, No. 45 Ludgate Hill', approx 29.5cm. Note Mrs Clark of Ludgate Hill was a prominent fan maker and is immortalised in an etching by John Nixon 'Mrs Clark, Fan Maker, Ludgate Hill' CONDITION REPORT: Good overall condition, no breaks or repairs noted. Paper in good condition.

AFTER W.L. WYLLIE "Trafalgar 21 October 1805", black and white etching, published 1905 by the Art Union of London CONDITION REPORTS Image basically looks good, though with some foxing particularly to the top right-hand corner, though other small patches elsewhere (see images), frame appears dirty, glass could also do with a clean, some areas of the frame with loss to gilding. Does appear to be period (ie an early 20th Century print)

The models for the painting were a family of bloodhound puppies for which the artist travelled to the New Forest to paint."

An interesting collection of mostly framed pictures to include: Percy Lancaster (1878-1951), R.B.A., A.R.E., a limited edition etching (68 of 70) titled "The Portal", signed in pencil in the margin, a large coloured etching of a Gothic Reform building, signed in pencil and numbered, a mixed method print of a finch, a framed nude on panel (with Ryman label verso and inscribed in pencil "August 1977"), Arthur Syzk`s coloured print, representation of "The History of Great Britain" (details verso), two landscape prints, etc (8).
