War of 1812.- British caricaturist in America.- Charles (William) Johnny Bull and the Alexandrians, political caricature after the British Army's 1814 occupation of Washington and the burning of the White House, mocking the alleged cowardice of the local citizens of Alexandria Virginia, etching and aquatint on laid paper with watermark of Strasbourg lily, sheet 245 x 245 mm. (9 5/8 x 9 5/8 in), small inck n the upper right corner, trimmed on or just within the platemark at upper and lower edge, small margins to the left and right edges, unframed, Philadelphia, [1814].⁂ No copy in BM or Copac. George IV.- [Sams (William)] Panorama of the Coronation of George IV, 19th July 1821, hand-held panorama reel of the coronation presented in one long pictorial strip, numbered sections, lacking the first part with the King's Herb Woman at the head as well as other herb maidens, but begins at section 5 with musicians, George IV appears at section 102, etching and aquatint with hand-colouring on wove paper, approx. 78 x 11000 mm. (3 x 433 ins.), small loss to upper extremity between section 30 and 31, and three repaired splits, other small nicks and tears, some surface dirt and browning, near contemporary ink inscription verso of section 5, rolled, presented in chagrin presentation box, Abbey Life 483, [1822].
