A presentation folder containing a certificate making Adolf Hitler an honorary citizen of the town of Cronberg in Taunus, dated May 1933, signed by the magistrate and town councillors, and with an etching of a stylised wheat sheaf, the cover coated with coarse fabric and embellished with a swastika, the wax town seal attached by a cord. GC (covers worn, the wax seal damaged). Lots 633 - 641 were aquired by the Vendor's Grandfather, André Le Gonidec. He served with the Free French in the 2nd Armoured Division under General Leclerc. The items were taken from a train used by Hermann Goering which was derailed by the 2nd Armoured Division near Bertchesgarten in the Winter of 1944-45
