A fine quality European made scimitar, probably made for a Turkish potentate, heavy blade 20” with back rib, with well detailed etching of trophies of arms and flags within elaborate decorated panels, gilt overall, brass hilt of sidearm form, the crosspiece with central panel, simulated feathers grip and lion’s head pommel.
