Apes in the Zoo, 1900, lithograph on toned card, signed in pencil, image size approx. 420 x 510 mm (16.5 x 20 ins), some surface marks, together with Célos (Julien, 1884-1953), Dutch village scene in the evening, colour etching, signed in pencil, plate size approx. 450 x 585 mm (17.75 x 23 ins), some surface marks, plus Honoré (Paul, 1885-1956), Gentleman on horseback, distributing largesse, tinted woodcut, on japan, signed and inscribed 'To Hugh Walpole whose gifts are extended as greatly as this chap's', image size approx. 190 x 190 mm (7.5 x 7.5 ins) with margins, some marks, and two early 20th c. etchings (a landscape by Gertrude Martin Hodges, and a group of urchins with London in the distance, by Doris A. Davis, dated 1918), and a wood engraving of flowers and butterflies, entitled 'The Net', by B. Moray Williams, signed, titled and dated '34 (6)
A Geo V 1912 pattern cavalry officer sword, straight fullered blade 35", by Wilkinson, No 53639 (1916), etched with crowned R Arms, crowned GVR cypher within foliate panels, regulation nickel plated, solid, scrolled pattern bowl guard, ornamental stepped pommel, wirebound fishskin pistol grip, in its leather FS scabbard with leather knot. GC the hilt generally good. (blade reseated and worn, much of the etching faint)
A Vic 1827 rifle officer's type sword of the Bengal Police, almost straight, fullered blade by Harman & Co Calcutta (very faint), etched with crowned VRI cypher and crowned BP within scrolled panels, regulation steel hilt incorporating crowned BP, wirebound fishskin grip, in its steel scabbard. QGC (blade worn, etching faint, grip AF, hilt and scabbard lightly pitted, throat missing)
