BERNARD LEACH. 'Little Stack.' Etching, circa 1908 - 1909. Unsigned, titled in the plate. Image size 10 x 13cm. Unframed. NOTE: This etching is a restrike for the Leach/Redgrave editions, produced in the 1980s by The New Craftsman Gallery, St. Ives. It is outside of, and extra to, the numbered editions with a facsimile signature, as sold by the Gallery.
MARC CHAGALL (FRENCH/RUSSIAN, 1887-1985), ETCHING, 11 1/2" X 9 3/8", 'AIGLE, LA LAIE ET LA CHATTE'Or "The Eagle, the Sow, and the Cat", from the series "Les Fables" (or "The Fables", circa 1927-1930), by the French poet, Jean de la Fontaine (1621-1695). Signed in the plate, pencil signed lower right, numbered 32 lower left, under glass and matted within a beveled wood frame, Arnold Klein Gallery label on the reverse (see additional photos). (3) * The Gillray subject lampoons the wedding of The Princess Royal and The Prince of Wurttemberg on May 17th 1797. The etching was published on the day after the wedding itself. ++ Gillray a little grubby with a few tears in the margins; the others stained with other small damages
