Hector McDonnell (b.1947), The Night Before Larry Was Stretched, Blackstaff Press, Belfast, 1984. Gift edition, LIMITIED TO 500 COPIES, of which this is no. 94, SIGNED BY THE ARTIST. Terence de Vere White introduces the volume thus: 'The Night Before Larry Was Stretched' is the best-known of four ballads inspired by the hanging of Laurence Coffey, about whom nothing is known". Small octavo, in original cloth covered boards with paper decoration pasted to front boards, and in matching slipcase. Also with a SIGNED ETCHING, (also limited to 500 copies), illustrating the hanging of the unfortunate Larry, laid in. €100-€150
