POGANY, Willy (illus.); FITZGERALD, E: Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam, Harrap, 1930. signed and numbered limited edition, No. 404 of 750. Signed twice by Pogany: on the limitation page and also the etching opposite title-page. With 12 tipped-in colour plates + many other illus. Full leather binding with gilt and floral vignette to front cover, gilt lettering to spine, top edges gilt and others untrimmed. CONDITION: Spine and part of the covers darkened, light scuffing to edges; o/w VG
SIR WILLIAM RUSSELL FLINT (1880 - 1969) Framed, signed in ink and additionally signed with initials in plate, etching of a female nude, shielding herself from light emanating from within a cave. Numbered `IX`. Trained initially as a lithographer and prolific book illustrator, Flint began to develop his style, now being acknowledged predominantly for his semi nude women. 19.5cm x 27.5cm. WILLIAM WALCOT R.B.A., R.E. (1874 - 1943) Framed, signed in pencil, c. 1923, titled, `An Egyptian Palace`, etching with aquatint and drypoint, showing numerous figures before a columned palace. This clearly illustrates his architectural training, present in the attentive draughtsmanship. 25.5cm x 30.5cm.
