* JOHN BELLANY CBE RA HRSA (SCOTTISH 1942 - 2013), THE CAPERCAILLIE SINGS HIS LAMENT etching, signed and numbered 40/50 in pencil 45.5cm x 29.7 cm (18 x 11 ¾ inches) Mounted, framed and under glass Note: In 1986 Bellany executed an etching 'The Capercaillie Sings His Love Song' for his second wife Juliet (Lister). However, later that year she took her own life. The following year, Bellany created another etching, this time titled 'The Capercaillie Sings His Lament' a melancholic lament over Juliet's death. The contrast between the two is striking
* JOHN BELLANY CBE RA HRSA (SCOTTISH 1942 - 2013), ROY CALNE etching, signed and numbered 23/30 in pencil 48cm x 40cm Mounted, framed and under glass Note: Sir Roy Calne led the team of surgeons who performed the lifesaving liver transplant on John Bellany at Addenbrooke's Hospital in 1988. The two men remained good friends for the rest of Bellany's life
